This INTENDED feature (buffing) is hampering peoples UNINTENDED PLAYSTYLE (tumbling) and there fore intended should rule over unintended.

It still does not give you the right to intentionally ruin other peoples gameplay. That is what is griefing. Even you should be able to comprehend that.

Buffing was never intended for that purpose.

So in your own words: Stop lieing to people.

You did not ask for the wound healing but I dont see you writting a thread about the medics who healed your wounds. In fact you said that they did a great jub.

By your logic the wound healers griefed you because they did something to you without being asked.

Those medics healing wounds in the hospital areobviously only trying to help.

Forced/unwanted buffing is an exploit (patient can't prevent it), requested buffing is a feature (patient and doctor agree to the buff).

But doctors who go around specifically buffing only secondary action pools with long lasting buffs are trying to do one thing: prevent other players from tumbling. When used for that purpose, forced buffing is an exploit that allows you to cripple another player's gameplay style. When you use an exploit to affect another player without their consent,it is griefing. Even if tumbling wasn't allowed, you as a player have no right to "police" other players and hand out punishments. Let the devs choose to change tumbling, or let the CSR's punish tumblers. The devs have made it clear that the only time another player may make aggressive actions against another is in the GCW, since declaring a faction means you're agreeing to PvP (and still there are limits).

I keep hearing people say you have to die or waitto remove the buffs...I believe a /sit followed bya /logout wait a couple minutes, log in does the same thing with much less wear and tear on equipment and body. Still annoying, but every bit as effective.

It doesn't do the same thing. All that does is remove the buff from the monitor window press ctrl+c and you will see the buff there. You won't have a clue when it's gonna expire though

Actually, Flippa, that's not quite correct. If you log out long enough for the game to completely remove you from the "environment buffer" (somewhere around 10 minutes, I believe), all of your buffs will also be removed, and it will be like you were logging in for the first time.

So, by that thinking, I should just tip the guy 10k to make up for his lost wages, and everything will be fine? I can live with that.

No, by that thinking you should live and let live. They are not hurting you in any way whatsoever.

On a personal note, I regularly haunt the Coronet med-center, I wear my master doc badge and teach all the Doc grinders when they need it. I'm grinding Fencer at the moment, for no other reason than I've done TKM and Heavy Swordsman, should anything that helps me gain XP quicker than a Master Fencer decides is the appropriate rate be removed? When I get master fencer, should I follow novice fencers around and aggro all their mobs?

I still don't understand how people can justify buffing the secondaries on tumblers, no reason presented so far has given any evidence of harm resulting from afk tumbling or afk healing of tumblers. And anyone with half a brain and an understanding of BASIC economics knows, when it comes to prices, the more [competition] the merrier.

I started this post annoyed by the fact that someone took it upon themselves to assume that I was going to tumble and therefore buffed my secondaries, I'm not a tumbler, I don't really approve but that's another story.

I didn't think that this was a pointless complaint I see it as griefing another player, what I have seen from the majority of people here is that I was in the wrong for getting annoyed with this ninja buffer. Personally I think a lot of you have missed my point.

I'm would like to see buffs be made a consentable action just like resurrection, that would stop this. It would stop vigilanty docs from thinking they can do what they like to whom they like just because they don't approve of the way someone plays the game.

And I say again, I only posted this to find out people's opinions about this and whether I should report this person to the CSR's but may I point out,

1. I never reported this

2. I haven't named the Ninja Buffer

So no harm done to anyone

Did you make him buff the rest of your stats for free? He could've at least did that.

Whoa...

I read the first five post of this thread.

LOL.

How could someone be so stuck up their own rear end to come onto the forums and complain about a buff they didn't want.

Did the post fix the problem? Did you get some sort of self-gratification for making the world aware of your trivial pet-peeve?

I really don't understand what the point is.

Come to think of it, I sort of wonder why I'm replying to this thread.

I believe the title says it. If you want to complain about something, complain about afk medics/docs healing afk tumblers while people actually playing the game can't get healed or have their wounds tended to. As for the original poster, you're basically spitting on someone who gave you something 'good' for free. Tumblers do not need to exist, people who claim them as a source of income don't know how to play the game, and they take, needlessly, from the pool of potential help for those who really 'do' need it.

In essence, this is a ridiculous complaint.

If you don't like people that tumble then just put them on ignore.

Exactly! Well put.
