Thread: Before you do anything, go Buff the tumblers in the med center...

Does anyone know what tumbling actually does, besides turn people into xp whores? Do people actually use it in combat or anything?

I think that when the jedi update is released it will all be a moot point. People will be doing the quests rather than holo-grinding so where you will see some tumblers, you will not see quite as many. The jedi quests will make it to where Xp is not a form of currency(like some of the people that do not tip, because they figure we get Xp from it). But until then I will toss an action buff on the tumblers so that more people can enjoy using them.

You know the problem with democracy is that if not enough people from the right sidespeak up, the wrong side always wins. The problem is like everything else in the world right now. No one wants to stand up and do what is right. EVERYONE wants to just sit around and just stick to themselves and not get involved.

Hence why we now have to get on a list and pay money every year, in order for the telemarketing industry to leave us alone... When everyone with half a brain can see that it should be the other way around.

I will be the first one to say I am wrong, butI know that I am not in this case.

Another thing I will say before leaving my post for good, is that I think it is real sad that RL attitudes and practices find their way into this game as well. People inAmerica (And abroad)think that it is just fine to walk around with their head in the clouds, only thinking of themselves, without ever thinking of the concequences of their own actions. Then when something bad comes of their lack of forthought or self centered actions, they cry"I did not know.","It's not my fault that happened.", or they just lie about it all together so they do not get called out for their idiocy.

I like playing this game to much to end up getting banned because I was trying to help the game for all gamers as whole.

I say F you to ALL the people who are making this game crappier and crappier every day with your selfish self centered ways.

You are all safe from my ninja nerfing as of now... I give up on the basis of not wanting to get banned for something we all know should not be happening, and can all stop just like that.

Bye.

I am an aspiring Master Doctor... Not for my FSCS slot either.. I choose to be a Dr. because I want to help people. I have used the tumblers to get to where I am, but only because there was no need to heal anyone. While I can agree with the author, I am seeing a troubling similarity to the Entertainer threads that went around last year....

You dont like to pay for your healing, so you wander in to the hospital, and expect to get healed... So you /shout "I need healed"... a novice dr or medic will heal you, and you literally spit on them because you think they are there for your benefit. Much like how you treat the entertainers.....

Then someone posts a thread like this to try to promote medics and Doctors to do what they should be doing 'Healing players' and not grinding out a profession by being AFK, and you have to complain about it.

The tumblers are there cause its an easy way to make some cash, the medics use the tumblers cause its an easy way to get exp, and everyone complains about there not being anyone to heal....

Frankly, I would rather spend my money on stim A'sto grind out exp on an afk tumbler, than blowing 15k in resources and tons of cash on Stim D's to heal ungrateful players that dont pay for services rendered.

You want healed... Start paying... you'll notice a difference the next time you wander into the hospital after you pay to get healed.

Hrmm, seems like this board has two conflicting opinions. I think that to not offend either side I will buff....the main action pool only to help the people. Probably most of the doctors posting unfavorably of people playing the game in the manner they choose have in fact buffed tumblers. If people do not want to gain xp in this manner they simply do not haveto heal a tumbler, but I do not think it is right to dictate the way that a fellow player plays the game unless you are a dev.

The way it was:

You're a novice medic in the med center. A person comes in and asks for healing. You provide the healing service with a smile. The player does one of two things: 1) tips you in return, or 2) doesn't tip you. If the player tips you, all's well that ends well. If the player doesn't tip you, you remember his name and you don't heal him the next time he comes in.

The way it is:

You're a TKA who just happened to get doctor for your holcoron. You are mad because nobody needs wound healing in the med center, so you rely upon afk tumblers for experience. The tumblers start charging too much, you whine about it. Someone comes in for wound healing, and you do one of two things: 1) you ignore them (anticipating them not tipping you), or 2) you heal them. The player either tips you or doesn't. You whine because there was no tip/the tip wasn't big enough.

The way it will be:

AFK tumblers will be the richest players in the galaxy. Docs will become paranoid, unfriendly buff bots. Everyone else will look down on docs and give them no respect.

I think it's time we stopped whining and crying about tips and tumblers and all that crap, and start acting like real medics and docs.

hehe man, this is crazy lol.

myself, i dont know why peeps continue to heal tumblers after they get 90 medicine use.

to finish doc, i got buffs that were 90 medicine use and belowand buffed for free, or buffed random peeps.

however i did heal tumblers, but i dont know how to use macros and all that so i just sat at my comp the whole time healing them, and i legitly did the crafting.

but call me wrong, but if i would have known how to do all that stuff, hell i would have done it lol. not all of us can stay on this game all day, im not trying to bring in the issue of "some of us have lives", but nontheless im still in highschool and now am banned from playing swg until i graduate in 5 weeks because of doing doc "legit" has me an F in english lol.

so you have to consider that when u see afk'ers, maybe like me, they cant afford to sit there the whole time clicking and hitting "heal dammage"

I'm **edit**ing ON Scylla, and live 1.2 km from the Medical Center. I register in the medical center DAILY and I never see a god damn soul in there for actual healing. When people go into the medical center for healing, they get healed--I see it every day. But no one ever comes in, so the only option to XP is tumbling. You REALLY want people to grind healing the old fashioned way?

STOP **edit**ING BUFFING PEOPLE.

When's the last time you saw a combat profession that NEEDED healing?

This post just makes me want to buff them more, heh.

I'm with you 100% Darth. I buff them till I run out of mind (and I never run out of mind).

Though I doubt many will lend weight to it, here is my opinion on it:

I think that private tumbling or tumbling in another location would be absolutely fine, but it breaks my heart to see folks in the med center begging for a wound heal (most popular reason is the "weak" packs that the lower levels use, for example, hitting at 14 @ 30 seconds on a 100 point wound). To the main poster, I say, I'm glad you do what you do, if you aren't there to heal folks and just spam on the tumbling please use another location (example the hotel is a great place for this).

I think it is critical that we heal any and all that come in, and if possible, without them screaming out for it when there are 4 there wearing novice doc titles.

Don't like the tumbling, fine - perhaps we can stress a point to use the hotel for tumbling and use the medical center for just that, buffs and patient care.
