Thread: Doctors Not Doing Their Duty

I'm so utterly sick and tired of going into a medical center, finding plenty of doctors, and none of them give you the time of day because they're too busy healing someone who's tumbling. Medics and doctors, you have to start doing your job. If the only reason you became a doc was to buff, give up the profession.
Not to sound like a flame, but since when does anyone have a real moral duty and mandatory service to others in a game?

you guys have to rember there are like 3 types of docs.
the buff bots who craft or buy there buff packs and then sit in cnet and buff all comers.
ther you have the grinders for one reason or another there goal is to make a specific
level of doc then move to something else and anything that slows that down is in there way.
why heal your woulds for like 100xp when they can heal the tumbler for 400
then you have the real docs, the pride of there profession.
they take very good care of there guild and team/groupmates.
they will get there butts shot off trying to drag you out of harms way.
they will have a hord of extreemly good buffs for there friends(been hit with a 3k buff latly?)
and will often have lower level buffpacks to free buff noobs
they will train others with no questions ask unless some one nearby needs the points.
you have to rember fora full master doc things like xp are a thing of the past it no longer concerns us.
which is a shame by the way.
faction points ha! I have never gotten a single faction point for healing when you fighter types are mowing down the stoorm troopers
like so much grass and your yelling for the doc or medic to toss ya a heal or clear a state and the FP is just rolling in, the doc is getting nothing.
when your guild doc goes on the hunts or raids with you, think about it, what does he really get from the trip.
almost no loot, maybe a share of the looted credit that may end up with enough to pay for the shuttle ride and cloning.
there is really no means for the group to protect there docsso ingroup we face all the same dangers and with much less armor and much less combat defence butwe're the ones sneeking back into the night sister cave to rez and heal the half of the group that did not make it out. with no one to do the same for us if we should fall. (been there done that)
yet we suffer the samedecay to our lesser armor.
I once herd some one complane that they were tired of paying 10k for 2300 point buffs and were voting for a buff nerf and i was thinking that if he screems about 10k 2300 point buff lines then he will prob be really screeming about 10k 500 point buff lines.
I like to count myself among those who play a Doctor the way they're supposed to be played, not as a money maker or stepping stone to something else. I enjoy going on hunting trips with my PA and they've never been asked topay for one of my buffs. I can take care of myself in a scrap, PvE or PvP, and enjoy healing those around me.
While I do feel somewhat shortchanged, as I spend a lot of time, money and resources to do this, with little material reward, I've hung onto Doc for over a year simply because I enjoy healing others. Taking a strong combat prof in addition to Doctor resolves just about any issue of not getting your share of loot on a hunt. Just ask my guildies who one of the better tanks in the PA is, besidesthe ever-present def-stackers, who are mostly playing on Bloodfin these days.
