MD is pointless now. You're better off as just a master medic...
I disagree....when the game first started Doctor was the most needed profession in the game. We are worthless now as we are....Our own abilities hurt us, because with buffs, there wasn't much point to heal in the most, everyday, content of the game.
You only get to heal faster and a little bit more. Nothing else there for you. You're better off as a master medic and just using points for a comabt profession.

It's gone.

WHAT!!! THAT WAS THE ENTIRE POINT OF DOC!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING????
They want to get us back on the real point of being a doc, healing.
my friend is m doc and she mkes most of her income making and selling pharmasuitiles not just enhance packs either
Just realized how sarcastic I sounded in my last post (See no coffee yet)I'm wondering if the dev's in this structure are implying that groups are the main Credit making way for docs as a profession now. (mission payouts and tips) (we have lots of professions like this that have a skill, but no consumables to sell)
I'm still out on our economy, pure crafters have dominated credit wise(As I think they should)I think of all the players with alts, where their main is for fun and the alts for crafting and credit generation. (I know very few long term players without alts) I used to make my creds with mainly one acct. The alts allow for a credit making opportunity in volume that supports the main in a manner that high end pricy items can be purchased. I don't see that changing.
I don't see prices for many items changing by a significant % down. And that sucks for the new player still. Armor & weapons will still take damage and need replacement, people will buy the best they can use and with a crafting alt they should have the credits to keep prices close to where they are. SA's will be harder to get as you need a group, imagine the group dynamic if you dont set up your looting rules before you go into the field.
A SA has no credit value until it's sold, but that will be after the group breaks up. So perhaps this will bring the creds once made by high end looters down as they wont be able to easily solo a nightsister elder. And thus bring down overall prices by a %.

Are you kidding me? I mean seriously....Heal faster and a little bit more?? Thats it..
I'm sorry man but the skills we get I will use. Just like today. I'm probably the only doctor that likes to use /quickheal just because It's an awesome skill. Heal faster?? We can revive, buff, cure states, basically do everything that we can do today.....the only thing we can't do is CRAFT. So how is Master Medic going to out perform Master Doctor?
It wont....it never has, and it never will. The CU is putting us back to "how the profession was intended" state...before everyone figured out how to cheat, and frankly I don't care what you all think about it, with macro's and tumblers. We will now be a usefull addition to any group...1 person or 20 people... We aren't losing any ability....CRAFTING is not an ability.

And this comment about sums up the reason the profession is changing.........
Doctors are HEALERS not BUFF BOTS.

Before you start to hate me too much, need to get one point across. I worked my way through doc the right way. Never used a macro. Didn't use tumblers. I worked my way up the crafting line by making my own meds to heal people in groups. Stood at star ports and healed people returning from hunts. Stood in cantinas and healed dancers and musicans. Worked the med center to heal retuning hunters. I love this profession and am not going to drop it. I just feel that they are removing one of the things I love.
A doc will not be able to hunt alone and I'm starting to wonder if he could even do it with an elite combat profession under his belt. I am a father and a husband who does not have 10 hours a day to play SWG. I do not have massive amounts of time to find groups to hunt with everytime I want to do something. I am feeling lost right now at what I want to do with my characters. I enjoyed my MD/Pikeman profession. I am a doctor before pikeman. Now I am a pikeman before doctor.....

LOL, Yup Play the game. I agree, it is just that.

That would be my assumption....that is how it was "Intended". I mean they upped the Credits dropped per NPC kill....There is a lot of ways to still make money.
I'm still out on our economy, pure crafters have dominated credit wise(As I think they should)I think of all the players with alts, where their main is for fun and the alts for crafting and credit generation. I don't either, and I agree 100% about your comments about Alts....Primary = Fun....Secondary = Money for Fun. Me, I have 2 toons for 2 different types of Fun. I don't much care about Credits....it still blows my mind how a looted item can sell for millions...when the actual effort put into it wasn't much.
I don't see prices for many items changing by a significant % down. And that sucks for the new player still. Armor & weapons will still take damage and need replacement, people will buy the best they can use and with a crafting alt they should have the credits to keep prices close to where they are. Armor and weapons will have far greater impact on how you function in combat. Therefore I have to disagree. The need for armor after the CU will be much less then it is right now. And I'm pretty sure that Weapons will follow suit. People will need more weapons, causing WS's to make more weapons, but should allow them to lower prices because they will still be selling weapons. The days of "The Weapon" and "The Armor" are over....it may take time for people to realize that, but I think the prices will come down a lot. However....only time can tell with that assumption.
A SA has no credit value until it's sold, but that will be after the group breaks up. So perhaps this will bring the creds once made by high end looters down as they wont be able to easily solo a nightsister elder. And thus bring down overall prices by a %.
Yup....Not gonna be able to sell stuff anymore (well not like today). So it will make items more rare...so I think some items will still cost a lot of money, but not nearly what the prices are like today. Again only time can tell with that one.

I don't hate you, I just don't see the point of what you are trying to prove by saying "We are screwed and worthless". We aren't...our core abilities are still there. And yes Crafting is moving, but serious who cares. BE isn't going to be making anything that important anyways. Enhancers can be looted....
I'm a Doctor befor Pikeman, when I'm out with my guild, I tank when I need to, but I heal before I tank. You and I have the same template....and You and I can keep our template without being "Lost". Can we solo stuff....sure, not like today, but we can...Not only that, but being a Master Doctor / Pikeman....after the CU if you wanna do more then "Solo"....I bet you 500c that all it will take is one "Master Doc LFG" in spatial before someone sucks you up.
Combat people will always have a harder time getting into a group, because back in the 20 people for 1 Rancor lair days....the leader would kick people out to make room for ANY healer. Finding a group with MD is not going to be hard.
Not true....if that is the role you play, drop Doctor and get BE....Enhancers are useable by anyone....but bonuses for us Doctors. BE's can craft heals for people that don't want medic. If that is the role you play...keep it...you have no need for Doctor from how I read your post. If you like healing, get Master Medic....BE will sell most of the "Consumables" that doctors no longer need to function. But we will always be "The Healers" in the game.....regardless if a combat person can stim or not.

I think one of the things that upsets me the most here relates to the fact that I have the tag on my character. I very specifically have based my entire 6 months of gameplay on filling the "pharmacist" role.
Without the need for medicine, there's really no need for a pharmacist.
It's a shame really because this is what "clicked" with me when I started playing the game.
As far as being greedy, everytime I start a new run of Stim-B's I have to pretty much empty my bank account. I've never broken a million, and I don't care if I ever do. I'd be happier if SOE made us all start our toons from scratch under the current system. I dont' care about money and accumulating stuff. I liked supplying a needed commodity.
At least all my Stim-B's will be converted to one of the only two needed meds under the new system.
