Bio Engineers can gain the necessary skillset (survey & vendor) without the loss not being able to master an elite combat profession.
Your argument was based on High skill point requirements. And as for non Crafters... Bounty Hunters craft their traps. So since in theory they must craft traps, they should be able to use ur tool right? Dont know about crafting in commando or not.
But you are changing ur argument, If its based soley on high skill points, then those 3 should be also considered. if its based soley on crafting then Rangers, Bounty Hunters, Bio Engineers and the such also must craft.
Bounty Hunters are no longer required to make traps to master the profession. Also part resource gathering is built into there skillset.
Rangers can harvest the a portion required resources from the creatures.
Bio Engineers I can see, given there new role as suppliers of additives for the Chefs. In addition part of the resources they require is built into there skillset.
Doctor has no built in skillset to gather the resources required.

If the argument is that you cannot afford these things and master a combat class, use your buffs and combat skills to earn money to buy the resources you need. another thing you can do to extend your skill points would be to keep swapping novice scout and artisian for the 100 creds it costs to be able to survey or harvest if necessary. You could also buff in exchange for the resources you need.At some point we all need to figure out which skills we really need. With a little imagination or socialization (or second account), we can work around them.SakeO
I don't have a problem with resources, quite the opposite. I have a rather large surplus of the required resources.
The proposal for the new limited charge tool kit would be more helpful to players just starting the game and wish to be Doctors. As with any social enviroment it takes time for players to interact with others, some quicker than other some not.
As time progress the tool kits will be forgot, perhaps used once and awhile in a pinch.

Dr's have medical forage. andwe arent talking about harvesting creatures. If so, then the argument should be made that Drs should be able to harvest Avian meat.
Im noticing your arguments are getting more and more malleable. Even if ur not the one who started this with me. But the point is. if one gets it, all should get it.
When I need large amounts of stuff like a creature resource I invoke my PA... another investment I was willing to make.
I can put things on my chef friends' vendor, if I want. Or put things on the bizzare.
Where there is a will, there is a way. What are you willing to do?
