My bad, if the quote function didn't quote in compacted html in a small box it would be a lot easier on me.
But the Tab modifications DO work

This is one of the main reasons why i stopped advertising that i buff people. I was probably scammed alot of time before i read these fourms to watch out for these fake tips. Now I only buff Guild members or close friends who I can trust. Hopefully this will get fixed with Publish 8. Seems a simple enough fix (hopefully).

While I certainly dont receive as many /tells as you likely do (as I am not a doctor), I had problems seeing the ones I do get when I am near the spammer havens... I solved it rather simply.
The chat tab system gives you a lot of control over the tabs and the content of those tabs. I have created an IM tab, that ONLY has instant messages as the type allowed. If I need to review a /tell I only have to click on that tab and read them... they still come to my spatial tab (as well as group and guild), but a clean list is easy to work with.
I have a spatial (for all message types), Group, Guild, IM, Combat and System message tab... makes it a lot easier to sort things out.

I only give freebees to friends. I have made about 150 buffpacks for each stat all over 920 on my own, so if I just buffed my friends, my packs would be sitting around wasted.

Whyare many thingsthe devs need to do 'not easy'. I tire of these excuses. Bank tips were accompanied with a message saying that person X has tipped you, in the same way cash tips are received now. This would go a long way to resolving this problem. This was aready coded but disappeared with the patch prior to publish 7. This is NOT difficult to resolve and I am fed-up with the devs dragging their heels on this and I am equally tired of correspondents making excuses for them.
Of course people are abusing this. What do you expect when there is a largepopulation of juveniles playing the game. The devs should have hotfixed this immediately they knew about it and that was well overa month ago.

Why don't you guys just tell people to pay you through secure trade before you buff them. If they don't want to pay through secure trade, tell them to go to someone else. It might be more time consuming, but you might be better off in the long run. You guys are in control. They need those buffs bad. Make them pay on your terms. If they refuse, most likey they were probably going to scam you with tipping method. If I were buffing others, I would tell them to pay me through secure trade. Then I would invite them into my group (10 people), buff them, then tell them to disband.

Please open CSR tickets on people you catch. They deserve to be yelled at for being jerks... maybe risking their acct. for cheating people will smack some sense into them. If you report them to the CSRs, do not delete the fake mail... keep it as evidence.

I really don't understand this.. They change it without warning or anyone asking.. At least I didn't see anyone ask??.. and now it turns into some major thing to change back (again).. this frustrates me sometimes. 
Anyway.. you could always do a "ticket" system.. and sell BECs or something on your vendor that are tickets for buffs. Depending on where your vendor is at least... that's impossible to forge since it has your name in the Object Creator field.
