I'm using that phrase and claiming it as my own. That's great.

I buff myself, hubby, pa mates if I am with them, and a few select friends who come to me to get buffs if I am not too busy. I won't sell buffs too much of a hassle and after nicely saying that I wont buff if someone keeps pestering me they get to meet my ignore list. I never wear my title although I will always heal a fellow imperial (or rebel when I was rebel) if they are waiting next to me in the shuttleport. And I love being a doc..but the crap you deal with buffing for me is not worth it. I can make money other ways and don't like to keep tons of packs on me to sell anyways. Plus the only meds I don't make myself are buff packs and I am picky with which ones I get so I don't really want to use them on someone I don't know. Selfish....a bit, but after all I am a doc for me not for the whole world. Funny how people feel you are obligiated to buff them because you are a doc, but they never ask me to tank for them because I am a melee fighter!

I have been tossing around a new idea, make a macro "/shout Master Doctor buffing for 10k at the starport, you supply your own buff packs. Dont have any packs of your own? Simply visit XXX location on YY planet to pick them up at the low low price of 40k each (you need 6 of them remember). Give me the buff packs you purchase plus 10k in a secure trade window and I will happily buff you. Thanks in advance

when i first got MD i buffed at fort tusken for a short time because i was flat-a$$ broke but will never ever ever do it again. i dont charge for buffs at all anymore. when i see a friend or guildmate in need of buffs while in populated area i will usually duck behind a buildingbefore i call my droid just to avoid the public eye.

I buff the general public just because I think its fun. I usually charge 8-10k, depending on demand. I don't se problems very often, but every now and then people jump in the line and move in front of others. When they do, I simply tell them in spatial (when they get to me): "Excuse me, %NT, but you jumped the line. Would you please go to the end of the line and wait for your turn?". (I haven't got this on a macro yet, but if this increases, I'll add it
)
This solves my problems at most times, but sometimes they get angry and leave (probably knowing they did wrong heheh).
But buffing for the cash.. No, not really.. I do it for fun. Its fun talking to people and I try doing this as much as possible while buffing.
Ah, and what would I be doing without %NT? I can't spell half of the names of the people out there.

I also buff - I'm based in Arroyo, Dantooine (player city near Imp Outpost), so I'm not exactly flooded with tells, and I'll usually insist people come to me. I also use this, which has really helped:
That being said, if I'm passing through any of the starter cities, I'll take my MD tag down... the odd time I forget, and the results can be hellish at times! "Doc TEF" - too good.
/alias brn /reply This is an automated response... Sorry, I'm not buffing at the moment. I *do* buff people, so try me again another time! Apologies that this response is so impersonal, but I can get a lot of these requests!BRN stands for 'Buff Reply: No'... I also have a BRY that lists buff stats, prices, terms etc. I [almost] always keep my MD title up, I find it's very easy to type '/brn', even in the middle of a fight. I've never had anyone give me grief over this response, I guess most people who come to hunt on Dantooine have heard enough from docs about what a pain buff requests can be... this is the most painless way I can come up with to deal with it, yet still be an active MD buffer.

today i had my first buff for cash experience. I have been a doctor for a while but always pulled "the late shift" in c-net. Believe it or not it was an enjoyable experience. I had some friends show up and he played for me while i went through my huge line. I also started to have the "client" set the price. Most of the time i charge only 6k for 2.3k 3hour. however today i let the patients decide how much they thought they were worth. i wish i could have gotten a sceen of that line tho...about 20+ people strong and more asking where it started. =) it is something i would likely repeat if things stay the same.

I stopped buffing the public a long time ago. Just like in real life there were enough stupid people out there in SWG land that made me just want to kill someone. Now I just make and sell the packs. It's easier to deal with a handful of docs than a thousand pushy whiney youngin's.

Not only doI not buff in public, I treat being a doctor like being a jedi and avoid doing anything "doctor" like so I don't get a doctor TEF in public.
lol.. When I run into a friend who needs a buff I am like a drug dealer..
I tell them to follow and then run somewhere out of the way where I can hide and buff and be all sneaky about it

I don't sit and buff, but I do provide doctors with very high quality buff kits that are "matched sets" for power and duration. This is a great business in itself, and I price the buff kits between 12K and 14K each (depending on final outcome of product). This typically allows the doctor doing the buffing to earn more than twice that amount if they charge 8K or more, which they should do given the strength and duration I make these.

While not buff related, a little while back, new mayor in the player city, sends me a message, "do you mind if I put a backpack up in Med Center that says send Keiban a tell for wound healing??" before I could reply no **edit** ing way I had 3 people messaging me for healing.
