I stopped selling buffs about a month after making Master Doctor. I was going through my packs too quickly.

Now guildmates, friends, and hunting partners get buffs - some for free, some for whatever they want to tip me. I don't buff for the public anymore UNLESS you see me buffing someone and ask nicely and pay up front. My charge was 6, then 8, then 12, and is now 15k. I hit 2478 for 3hrs 20mins.

I made Master Doctor yesterday, and slapped on my shiny, new Master Doc tag to show the world.

I ran through the Coronet starport with my Master Doc tag on for the first and last time ever. There were apparently no docs buffing (imagine that!) and I got slammed with nasty tells for a good 4-5 minutes after I ran through there anddidn't stop and buff everybody and their brother. It was like I -owed- it to them.

How do you people put up with this crap? If I do start selling buffs, it'll be somewhere like Bestine or a Yavin outpost. Isure as heck won't be buffing in Coronet. That place is nasty.

Master Doctor 9 months ago, left the game for 6 months then just came back. I'm a MD/TKM now and loving it, and I buff if I'm in the mood. I still haven't actually settled on a price.I buff for 2175 (don't carry Bivoli, because I don't seek to sell buffs, I buff myself and friends) and it lasts for 3 hours 45 minutes. (983oq 821pe990dr avian, and 995oq 990drreactive) I spent a crapload of time farming the meat for a week, and like 200k on all the reactive I could find. I blast through components like there's no tomorrow, I just get tired of it. I can definitely make faster money as a TKA and have a lot more fun doing it. I buff people for money because I like helping out, but it's when I feel like it and never in Theed or Coronet.

Trying to find a price I like... and I'm having trouble with it. I used to charge 4x the amount I buff (8500cr) but honestly I don't even feel like buffing for that. I *know* how much money I can make in 3 hours and 45 minutes with my buffs--so I can just laugh at anyone that complains about price. If I'm on Dantooine and buffing myself or such, and someone asks for buffs nicely, then I'll buff them for 10k. If they don't like the price, fine I didn't care if you got buffed anyway.

So I guess I don't really sell buffs anymore--at least not actively.

I buff about once a week, and I keep the prices up around 15k a set. This way my lines are shorter, andI can be on my way without having 10 people people pissed off waiting in line when I leave.

I have never buffed for money. I buff my friends the random stranger waiting for a shuttle and myself only.

I've never buffed for money either, I'd much rather get money running missions while collecting meat, for example.

I buff for cash, but it's only when I need quick cash. If I have a day off, I'll hop on early in the morning (sometimes the first doc on in Coronet) and I rack up. I charge 12k per set, and a retiring Master Doc gave me all of the crates of buffs he had so it's all profit. I've taken this time to just harvest resources and stockpile them like no ones business.

Even if you don't have the best buffs, there are other things you can do. Sell your buffs, but talk to your customers. People will remember you and come back.

I buff when I want to be sociable. I tend to only do it inside the Theed Med Center, or around there. Lets me chat with people, train the novices, make a buck or 2 selling woundpacks to them as well (350cr is a decent price for a 30 use 200 str woundB ), and just generally be nice.

I don't shout adverts (or, rarely do), I just let people find me. I always request payment ahead of time, and at the SLIGHTEST hint of nasty, I just add them to the ignore list.

I have to agree though, Coronet is an evil, wicked place and should not be visited by any docs. Ever. I tried it once, and ended up just logging out there because of the sheer volume of stupidity I got.

Don't really sell buffs anymore since I don't spend much money anymore, hence I don't have much reason to *make* money. I do buff my PAmates whenever I can conveniently, otherwise, unless I spend like 250k+ in one sitting and then buff for an hour to recoup expenses, I don't do it anymore (and it seems that more and more docs are turning out this way as well, or at least, they got doc to make buncha money briefly, then dropped it when it had no more use... most obvious reason would probably be because *it isn't fun anymore*!)

Not only doI not buff in public, I treat being a doctor like being a jedi and avoid doing anything "doctor" like so I don't get a doctor TEF in public.
