I dont know whats up with my server, but people are insane about buffs on it. not just non docs, but docs.
There are probly about a dozen really good doc shops on my server, any time any of them stock buff packs, no matter what they charge, they are sold out within an hour. im talking 30-40K per pack for just normal power packs. There are alot of docs on Naritus, but most of them buy their buffpacks from the few doctor sellers.
non docs are insane, its not just Coronet that people in mass hordes want buffs, The mining outpost on Dantooine comes in second, and some days can be worse then coronet. Theed is the same, and I cant even go to any npc city, even if its normaly deserted, there is always someone shouting that they are looking for buffs. I cant go for more then 10 min without getting a tell from people i dont even know, begging for buffs, I have NEVER worn my master doc title and my char isnt searchable.
Its crazy. Its almost to the point i woudlnt mind them being completly wiped from the game just so people stop begging for buffs. Everyone thinks they MUST be buffed to go do anything, This guy yesterday asked me for buffs so he could go check his harvestors on naboo, there is nothing on naboo you have to be buffed to kill. I am leveling rifleman completly unbuffed, just drink two brandies, and if i need a quick boost in health use a netron pixie. Its crazy that some people are so reliant on them.
Yeah, Naritus is pretty crazy. When I set up for the day in front of the starport on Coronet, there will usually be approximately 10 people waiting for buffs within the first minute. By the time I've uncrated my the first of my Bivoli, and taken a bite, I will have 3 tells to reply to. Good money though, and our people tend to be quite polite. I've rarely had problems with my customers. Heck, I've had more problems with some docs, sticking their noses in my business ("why are you buffing imps if you're a rebel? I'm going to send you some hate mail now").
I only charge 8k for my buffs no matter where I go, and I go out of my way to make my buffs as good as I can, with the resources I have available. I've been doing this for months now, and only recently upped my cost from the 6k I was charging during the tumultuous times before they equalized buffing. I see no need to gouge my clients.
Occasionally, I'll get someone offering 20k or so for a set, if I do it right away, so they dont have to wait. I'll explain to them that these customers who are already in line have been waiting, and it would be unfair to them. They usually just say "Okay, can I get in line then?". So, it's not always as bad as it seems.
That so far is my worst experience, I wish other doctors would mind their own customers.
