I don't buff the public, but one argument I heard in favor of the "huddle" method that made the most sense to me was that the next customer is always in range and one could start on the next one immediately. With a little on-the-fly programming, it's also possible to go completely autopilot for the next several customers leaving oneself free for interaction or going afk.
It does seem to necessitate a strict banktip-only policy in order to maintain sanity.

My server used to be like that but then over one weekend, it seemed like it switched to lines.

I dont know if anyone said this already but i'll say it. Banktipping is actually really great because it doesn't require moving yoru chracter (or seeing anyone else for that matter). I usually just have the mail window on half the screen and my inventory on the other. I have a macro which runs through the buffs so all I do is read who's next, then type in "/target xxxx" of the guys name thats in the email and run the macro.
I think this is a lot easier then managing a bunch of things and trying to find 1 person in a crowd of many.
Nonetheless i agree that manners on corbantis are.... wait there are no manners on corbantis.
Good luck doc, maybe we'll see each other around

I agree that it disuades tell hell. I tried the huddle once and it wasnt realy succesfull. Well, not for me. Was so much hard work replying to tells like "how many before me" or "when is it my turn", since no one had any idea where they were placed in the line. At the end I had to type a list in spatial so people could see how long they had to wait before it was their turn. A line prevents these things. And I totally agree with the fact that 2 out of 3 people are illiterate (spelling, lol). Well at least on Bloodfin. Either they cant read, or they dont give a hoot that I require banktips only. So every 5 to6 minutes or so, I will have some moron in the huddle yelling "this doctor is cheating me! I tipped him and he hasnt buffed me yet even though I have been waiting 15 minutes". Sure...if you like that sort of grief, go ahead and do the huddle. Lineup is so much easier for everyoneand at little inconveniance for the customer.

Y'know, I didn't notice the line thing until recently.
I'm on Chilastra with my main, and have always seen the 'huddle' method used. One reason I never bothered with buffing the public.
I started a character on Flurry not long ago(going full combat)and went looking for a buff, was shocked to see a nice orderly line.
Must say, I personally prefer the line method as both a Doc and a Customer.
hehe come to gorath if your not in line you don't get buffed period
you rarely see the "huddle method" hehe and when u do the doc yells at the ppl to form lines or no buffs
nice and orderly imo ![]()
its faster for the doc thus customers get buffed quicker ![]()

no line for me....just seems strangeNot to mention the hassle of trying to get people into a straight line, lol.
I've always huddled, left my email window open to check the order of the tips received, run my macro that says "BANK TIPS ONLY", and I sit and chat with all my customers while they wait.....
no strange comes when this happens:
was running to the shuttle at coronet starport, and ran past a line of ppl just standing there
so stopped to look when 3 ppl in the line shout "Line waiting for Doc to buff them"
so thought what the hell ran over popped my driod out and started buffing them LOL.
but a line waiting for a doc hehe
