Thread: PLEASE reduce the amount of aggro for docs.
the only times I survived when hunting is when a jedi is present since they seem the only class able to do enough damage to counter our heal and are able to tank when thier heal pulls aggro.
Hopefully Marrow has at least gotten a response from the devs about the aggro issue because right now it's easier on the group if a doctor does nothing but res people when they are corpse than to dare use a heal in a fight.
Only Bacta infusions seem to do ok in a fight and if we are supposed to be the HOT class now it's far too weak. Also one HOT and 4 instant heals doesn't sound like we were well thought out if we are supposed to be a HOT class.
I think the main problem is in every other game where there is aggro on heals, the aggro is only affected on the enemy the person you healed is attacking.
Support class aggro should only affect enemies your supporting to kill not just the ones that your heal has no direct impact on. I also agree half aggro per heal point versue damage point would make more sense.
Also aggro shouldn't affect enemies beyond your the range of the skill you used. You have to be close to use bactashot or jab on a player so why do an enemy far beyond that range able to be aggro from it?
There's a point where you aggro for strategy and then you go too far and take the fun away. SWG was never ment to be played like chess it's a casual game and so combat should reflect that.

I still don't understand the rational behind the hate thingie. I mean, how the heck is some stupid monster going to know that you are healing the hunters? I understand a proximity based hate system, but this hate the healers because they are healers system is just plain dumb! I would even be ok generating hate on a faction mission, since it is against humanoids, and humanoids should be able to reason, there is a medic in the group healing the fighters.
