Crafters in general are getting ready for the second part of the double hit. First, and this one is only temporary, JTL sent the majority of players into space, and not running around decaying armor, needing buffs, buying weapons, food, ect.. Markets for everything except ships dried up overnight, and will remain empty for another two weeks i'd guess, with some of the market share being gone for good. Although a rough ride, it can be survived. The removal of the solo group is going to kill the economy for a very long time. As these people come down from space, with empty pockets from buying 1 mil + ships, they're not going to have a 'quick' method to replenish their wealth. Crafters that put 10-250 cpu into resources to stock their vendors are going to be met by a consumer base demanding 1cpu pricing. That's a huge loss of capital investment crafters are going to just have to eat. I'm not saying solo groups shouldn't be removed, but the timing is all wrong. If and when they should be removed, it really should be done incrementally, and not so close to another major economy shaking event. Economies are a lot like children, they always want more more more, and rarely want to take their medicine. When it's time to give it to them, maybe it's better to try a little coaxing first before just beating them over the head with a bat.

I agree with most of your thinking here but I'd also add that once the solo grouping is gone best way for players to make money will be to hunt for certain meats. And we won't have todeal withthe "I'm only hunting for 200 cpu or more because I can easily make a lot more money doing Janta and Mokks mission in Dant" argument. Prices for organic resources will drop considerably too, and with that, most crafters will be able to lowerprices without losingtheir profit margin. The economy will adapt.

I agree completly. It'll be a much better player-driven ecconomy at that point, and it'll reduce inflation. I think the end goal is a good idea, but the method their using at this time isn't a very well thought out plan. I don't think a lot of players understand how this is going to effect them. It won't have an imediate effect on non crafters, but as weapons break, armor decays, crates run empty, ect.. they're going to swing by their favorite vendors and find they've closed up shop. If crafters aren't selling goods at a profit, they won't be crafting very long. They literally won't be able to afford to. If they were to slowly bring down mission payouts, it would allow the economy time to adapt, and slowly bring down prices and mitigate the negative side effects. The drastic change is just going to throw the economy into shock. First you'll see a lot of high value 'luxury' type items stop selling, like loot rugs/tables, AAs/CAs, then enhanced weapons and uber pvp armor, then food until prices stabilize again, but at that point, how many 'mainstay' crafters will be left?

I for one would love to see the Solo grouping go away. It's just another thing that is fun in the short term but ruins the game experience in th long run.

I never found it fun
