Ida--the worship personality chip is just a fun addition. When I tell him stuff, he replies with things such as "Oh yes, Master, whatever you want, I'm so happy to do it."

I think there's a stupid chip out there, too, where they say stupid stuff.

I hit that this morning and found that driods no longer recharge in the data pad so once its out of power the med function stops working, I still not sure but I think it atleast doesnt loose power in the data pad.

I had this problem too, so I had to go out and buy a battery to recharge the droid. I had no idea what a batter should cost. The first bazaar terminal I came to had only one battery listed. It was 300cr. Like I said, I had no idea, so I bought it. A little while later, I checked another bazaar terminal, in another town. A guy had a crate of 25 batteries for 1850. That comes to 74 cr each. I couldn't resist, so I bought this too. I pulled one of the batteries out, just to look at it. It had 3 charges per battery. The original one had only one.

So, first I paid 300 cr for one charge, then I found 75 charges for 1850 cr or 25 credits per charge. At least NOW I know how much a battery is really worth :>

I have to add a battery to my droid every single time i pull it out to use it. I understand that I should have to put power in my droid, but come on!

droids dont recharge in datapad. Got that to.

Also med droid are somewhat buggy. Get better buffs in med center than in the field with droid.

I was browsing a few shops the other day and came across someone selling a +55 MedicalMSE droid for 600cr - so figuring that it might be worth trying, I picked it up.

Last night I was having a tough time healing my group and I remembered my droid. I called him at a camp and went chasing around healing people like usual. However, the first stim I threw had a very low result - I think it healed 80 where my home made stim Bs usually heal 150-350ish. I was a little surprised so I threw another. 75. And then another - 115, 160, 110and at this point I recalled my droid and the next stim was healing 200+ again.

So, it looks to me like the +55 medical droid actually reduced my medical skill! I'm just a couple of boxes from Master Medic - so to see less than 100 heals on stims is kindof rare.

Anyone got any ideas whats going on? Did I just buy a faulty droid?

Now, where did I leave the waranty?

I recommend a +110 droid.

Droids work the same as camps, in that they allow you to heal people without using a house or hospital. The trade off for this is in the amount you will be able to heal for. If you examine the statistics of a camp, you will see that low end novice scout camps havea heal modifier of 0.65. This means that while in that camp, the medics skills will be reduced to 65% of their normal ability.

This works the same way with droids. A 55 med drios is NOT a +55 droid. It does not ADD to your skill. it means that you will only be healing for 55% of your normal ability. If this is not good enough for you, you should get yourself a 100 or 110 rated droid. This type of droid will be a bit more costly than your little MSE droid.

So, the only use for my little MSE droid is to heal wounds whilst outside a camp/med center?

For everything else he just downgrades my ability.

I was planning on getting a +110 one anyway, but thought I would try the +55 as a droid introduction as it was so cheap.

Are there any difference between the droid types - R2, R5, Medical droid. If they all have a +110% and a F+C station, does it make any difference which I have?

Thanks
