My surgical droid has a rating of 80 ... but I don't know what's in him. I do know I can still get better.

A 65% droid has a lvl 4 medchip.

80% is lvl 5.

Max is lvl6 with 95%

Odd.. I'm not sure what level med mod is in my droid, but he has a 100% rating. I assumed it was a level 6.

My 3PO with med lvl 6 has 110 as well. And no, the Surgical droid doesn't give any benefits.

The surgical droid is planned in the future to automatically used woundpacks placed in it. Or at least that's what I hear.

Also, with the latest big patch, DE's can experiment up med module 6's to 110% effectiveness.

This is a rumor that originated on this board, from someone who apparently just made it up (or from someone who misread a post suggesting this). There is no truth to it whatsoever. There has NEVER been any developer statement saying that there are ANY plans to add NPC/droid healing to the game.

The new max is 110 medical rating. I got a r2 with a bunch of other things and has a 110 rating.. I also just picked up a mouse with a 110 rating for perty cheap.. He sure comes in handy when i need to heal people in high risk situations(pvp). I'd hate to lose my r2.. i wouldn't mind so much about my mouse.

Definately get a med module IV, but don't forget the food crafting station. This will allow you to craft anywhere as though you were at the one in your house. (If your DE does good experimentation on it, you can get it up to +20 [maybe higher] to your skill, and reduce failures even more.)

I'm a new player so please forgive me if this has been asked a thousand times...

What is the benefit in having a Medical (Mouse?) Droid? And can I (being a simple Medic and soon Doctor) equip them with better software (or whatever) to help me more?

If this has all been answered in one post please show me if you know that post.

The good things about having a droid with a medical module is that you can heal wounds and enhance outside the med center. If you add a Fodd and Chem crafting module aswell you craft higher tier stuff and experiment without having to be near a crafting station. Very neat, it's a must

I have the following:

  • Surgical Droid (automatic Med6 module)

  • Rating: 115 (Not sure how this can be, but it is)

  • Food/Crafting Station

  • Worship Personality Chip

I paid $15k credits, which is a pretty standard price on Starsider for this droid. Definately get one. It's one of the best investments you can have as a doctor. But be careful--you go TEF and your droid is libable to be destroyed.

Hehe what does a worship personality chip do? I got a storage module as my third part and gave him some bofa treats to hold. I think he was 15k as well (110 capability rating, food/chem crafting).

Picked up an R2 with Med (lvl 6), Chem, Droid repair and 2 storage mods, ive been really happy with it so far. My skills are at 2, 3, 1, 2 and i can make stim d's anywhere...and he follows better than any CH pet ive had so far. I havent used the storage yet, ive heard of bugs with that and havent tried any droid repairs yet, but being able to whip out a few good quality items while waiting for shuttles or between patients has been worthwhile.
