Thread: master doctor need to be a doctor and not a business administrator
you also say that medecines don't come magically!
ok what do you think it happens with entertainers being able to heal your mind wounds?
oh wait that was the faery god mother that helped them with a blessing! so they can heal your battle fatigue, and mind wounds, but also buff you very nice! without the need of crafting!
hope that answers your question, hope you are smart enough to pick my sarcasm!
we even have the tendwound comand wich allows us to heal wihout the use of crafted medical supplies!
one more thing
in real life, doctors don't craft their medecines, they heal! have you ever been ever to a doctor? saw them crafting their vacines? no right?
someone else does that sort of things!
hope that helps you too
Nayda, I understand your frustration. By the time I make Master Doctor, (2 skills left) I will have to keep my points invested into Novice Artisan because I need resources for Medicines plus I manage resources for our guild, surveying, etc.
I wish I could keep my surveying skills and invest those points elsewhere, say in CH.
I think if you are a well established Doctor, like Callyndra, Jennah, Nishkam on Corbantis server you could get away without having the survey skills because your network is established and cash flow is not a problem.
Once I get to that level, where my cash flow allows me to purchase resources on the market or through a close associate, then I will surely(maybe) dump the points and invest somewhere else.
I know this is one of the top itemsfor Doctors on Zarlor's list. Don't know how long it will take to become addressed or if it will.
I know Zarlor has been doing a fantastic job. So I know he is pressing the issue with SOE .

An Entertainer heals wounds by performing. You watch listen, and you "forget" about your troubles, and your pain goes away. Kind of like listening to music in real life. It can change your mood, it can make anguish go away, it can help you focus, and it can motivate you. Same thing. They are not actually waving a magic wand and making your wounds go away.. they are just performers, doing what performers do. Their ability to heal is based on how well they can perform.
As for doctors not crafting in real life... doctors also don't run around on imaginary planets shooting laser pistols at imaginary creatures 2 - 3 stories tall. The "reality" argument works both ways.
Actually I just partnered up with anotherdoctor and we split the classes as needed to support each other. Sort of like a Doc's office... only with harvestors and vendors ![]()
Nadya, you need a house and a food factory and that is it. A few factories is better still
Just find a merchant or three and ask them to run around and get you supplies in return for which you will keep them supplied with products. Interdependency, remember - let someone else do the parts of the game that you don't want to - lots of people love that stuff
A simple matter of turning the factories on whenever you happen to be passing
Keep crates of medicines on you and charge a lot for streetcorner/starport buffs
Spend the rest of your time hunting with a group and ask your friends when you run low on meat. 5 of you taking 2 missions each on an advanced planet should give you lots of herbivore meat or whatever you're low on, especially now everyone in the group can harvest
Lastly don't be too perfectionist about your resources. Keep it under your hat but I was actually using Stim As last night because I finally got round to clearing out my safety deposit and I had a stack there. They worked fine, just kept me a little busier than usual
