I didn't get annoyng tells so far I wear my taag in cities and stuff sometimes, but, I dunno why, I never get buff tells, well, until my group is formed, tag removed since a while, and we're all ready to go. Then yes, I do get at least 5 people asking for buffs...

I don't like how some people are acting with docs, no "please", no "scuse me", no "thanx" like I was advertising for buffs in front of tuksen fort today, playing with my alt in the same place, so basically "afk" advertising, asking people to /tell my alt if they wanted buffs.

I got like 5 or 6 requests for rez inside the fort/cave

I get there (I only have 2 box in marksman/carbineer, you imagine my "uber" level, and a few not that bad, B poisons just in case), fight the damn mob, thank god, not alone, rez the dude.

thanx, cya

never get a single tip or something... ok people don't HAVE TO, but still, I think it's an evidence, the doc comes, rez you, you tip him 1k and everything's fine, it's not about the money, it's about taking some time (while my alt has to get outside the fort, and do nothing while brandy's timer is going on..) getting there, fighting mobs, and rez, just to help some guy I don't know, I mean cmon, it worth a little gesture, just to show you care...

The great thing about publish 7 is that I can now answer, all buffs will be 2303 to all stats, 2385 to the action, they last 3 hours and 43 minutes. This makes selling and buying buffs very easy

I actually got someone telling me that they weren't going to pay for a buff if it was under 1300.

Like I have any control over it, I'm using +25 clothes, I have a 110 droid, I'm using the best bivoli I can find and they're ~900 packs, if the buff comes out under 1300 it's not my damned fault is it ?

I just told her that she could pay like everyone else and if the buff screwed up blame the game not the player.

What was the worst part was that I wasn't even wearing my master doc tag - she just examined me and saw I'd mastered doctor.

Hahaha! The other day a guy asked me "how much 4 buffs?"... I replied "10k bud". He replies "Ok... so I'll pay 10k if they are ALL over 3k?"

I asked him what are you kidding?? He then said most docs charge 6k, and that he wouldn't pay ten unless they were all +3k buffs. I naturally told him he was crazy and that most docs charge a flat rate of 10k and reminded him that buffs are random... you ALWAYS take your chances with what you get. He then said *I* was the one that was crazy. The stupidity of some people still astounds me sometimes.

I dont mind buffing a single stat for the entertainers. I feel a bit of a kindred sprit to them. They are buffer's too and need the action/quickness/stam buff to keep up. One of my best reg buffies is a dancer. She tips 10k for just two stats.

It is a rare day that I have a matching quantity set anyway. So its no bother to me.

If you think it is a pain being a doc with all the buffing issues we may have try being a dancer. At lease we can hang out anywere.

It only takes 20 sec to hit one stat so I put them at the top of the line so they can get back to work.

Taverin, if you get lots of requests for these you may want to make a pack or two with long duration buffs. They dont need high power just long duration. Entertainers are good tippers on a per stat basis and are fast to bang out. Just remember, we all need entertainers and would you really want to be one? I realize this will add to your already full inventory. It is just a suggestion and, as always, you own your packs and can do as you please.

"Can you heal my wounds?"

Said "wounds" are normally scratches and the "wounded" person normally has a BF higher than my unbuffed health. There are also usually plenty of medics and novice docs in the med centre with me who would appreciate the XP far more than I will.

Worst for me has to be when I am in the middle of fighting, and some CM throws an AoE disease. Everyone and their dog starts yapping, "HEEEEL, DIZEZE"...and they dont realize that I have to heal my own as well...so I get cussed out for not healing them fast enough...

I ask god every day, "God, why did you make stupid people?", and he always responds, "To piss you off my son".

lol for all my fellow medic types out there and especially you master docs.. If they say "Hey i know this doc that only charges xx creds" then say good for you now run along and let him buff you... i have a nice long queue as you can see of people that are happy to pay 10k for a set.

See the thing is, there are hoards of Doctors with droidsgang wrapeing people as they get off the shuttle...

I am not a doctor, but felt compelled to reply to this;

I used to inquire about buffs with "are you selling buffs today my friend?" and was amazed at how many Docs found this to be sucking up by including the "my friend".

I view in front of the starport at coronet as being the center of commerce in the game, and anyone there who is not overt, spamming, or on my people to avoid list to be a friend until proven wrong.

I dont know about where all of you live, but here when you go into 7-11 or any liquor store, 9 times out of 10, I am greeted by Habib with "hello my friend" and have never felt that he was sucking up. The roles are reversed I know, but the similarity still remains.

I now use " can I be in line for buffs too?" and usually leave with "thanks, until next time my friend"

Any thoughts from the Doctors side of the exchange?

People got onto you about the 'my friend?' Thats kinda odd. I'm not a master doctor yet, just 3/4/2/1, but I usually prefer it if apatient addresses me with my name, or at least something other than "you."

Polite conversation is really lacking in the galaxy.

Regarding the "my friend", I find that very odd as well. When I am done buffing some one I say "Name, your all set my friend". I can't imagin somone being offended by it.

And heck, I love a little suck up from my customers. It's just being nice. The buffie is asking for a service after all. I mean is bowing, saluting, etc after the buff also sucking up? I don't think so.

I would keep using it. Most folks will like it..
