Thread: More rude new docs..
Heh - i quit wearing my master doc title because all of a sudden i became WAY to popular... How much for buffs... can you sell me this can you sell me that. (let alone the fact that the few times i've made sortie's into the bazzar nobody buys em...) I just feel bad telling em no.. i've only got one set of enhances on me and i'm not selling em and my group of 6 is pretty much gonna use em up anyway buffin people/pets to hunt with... rofl.
There are people i will run to go buffer up.... altho it IS irritating that they don't seem to ask you when yer there... they always seem to ask you AFTER you left to go do missions or what not... rofl. =)
I know the vast majority of them are just trying to be better prepared... and yet i've seen people sit in the medic centers and spam just that. Wish there was a way you could manipulate your text instead of LFG or HELPER you could put your own text like SELLING BUFFS or SELLING PETS that would be kinda cool. <shrug>
LIke i said - don't run around w/ MD any more... I hate having to say no... and thats exactly what i'm gonna say if i'm a busy doing something else.
J/THarg!
Besides, without that title my Bio can be confusing
Hey I've run into a couple times recently where I've kept tips voluntarily given to me and thanked the person profusely. Thought I'd mention that in the interest of full disclosure. Sometimes I'll keep a tip, but I don't want a person to feel olbigated to pay for my service of training them. I want to train them because I want to help them and help myself. I don't want to turn it into an industry.
Why should I?
It didn't cost me anything but a few seconds out of my life. You can bet your bottom I didn't go chase anyone down though.
Don't be ignorant. This type of behavior is not unique to the doctor class, new players, or even beta testers. They all share this same scenerio. Before you blurt out topics like "more rude new docs.." examine the whole situation. Happens every day, to every class, by all sorts of different players. Sorry if you might feel this as a flame, it just pisses me off that you point out "more new rude docs..". You seem to be in that catagory, because as a whole i get a completely different feel from the majority of new (and old) docs compared to any other class.
*laughs with Nikuhiru*
I know exactly what you mean.
A while back I'd occasionally stop in the Tyrena med center to see if anyone needed free training. I was doing missions so I have about 15 stim D's and one of each Woundpack C on me. The rest of my inventory consisted of weapons, armor, hide and bone for camps, a few PSG's, and one of each enhance pack.
I enter the med center and this person says "Good, finally a doctor." He tells me his wounds and the highest was 90something quickness so I toss on that pack. The highest of his other wounds was 20 or 30 some. I ask the other patients what they were, and anything above 50 I tossed a woundpack on. The first person asks me why I didn't finish healing him and I tell him that I only have C packs and I'm not using them on any wounds below 50. He comes back with something similar to "**edit** you're a doctor you're supposed to heal ppl." I tell him that below 50 woundsaren't that significant, and asked what armor he wore. He replies that he doesn't wear any armor. So I tell him that the rest of his wounds aren't all that important and that I'm not going to use up these C packs on them. Then he says about "greedy doctors." I heal some 50+ wounds on some others that walk in and his medic friend comes in. His friend sits down and starts healing him and says "lol healing in a hospital? preposterous!" I tell him I'm not going to use woundpack C's on small wounds. His friend says that he just makes a woundpack A then. I reply that I came in to see if anyone needing training and that I only had wound C's and no resources because I was doing combat missions. Then I get the great and mighty "noob" statement.
The next day I see the person with the wounds go running by sporting a Novice Bounty Hunter title and he had 3 Rancors in tow. I also find out he's never tipped any of the doctors that I know when they healed him.
I swear that Starsider attracted a heap of kiddies.
actually, i think the master doc being flippant here is the one being rude.. you could just tell him: "sorry, im out doing a mission and i dont need anymore app points, im sure you can find a medic or doc in town to train you that needs to train more than me"
that's what i do.
I expect that things change when you get up into the master classes. (I'm a brand spanking new novice Doc as of last night) A Master Doc doesn't really need any more APs but I expect that as time goes by you will find it harder and harder to get payed for training as APs become more valuable. (changing professions and such)
Personally I never asked for payment for training nor accepted money for being trained. That being said, my play time is precious and it would take a BIG hunk of cash to get me to travel to train someone...

"I have 1700 APs, which is more than enough to master the two professions I'm working on"
Is that a typo?
My two favorate Statments:
I'am not a vet. (Unless some cred passes my direction. Then and only then will I neuter your pet graul.)
Those are just scratches go see a medic.
For some odd reason my all my rudeness went out the window when my Dantoine party gave me all the 900OQ 600PE herb meat and 800Mal 900OQ 450Shock Wolly Hides.
Whee, half price buffs. Free healing to all the silly carbine spammers. "Rifle what's a rifle." I put that away soI could cure yourpet.I feel like such a loot whore...
"Those are just scratches, go see a medic"
ROFLMAO
I always tip for trianing, I never require "tips" for training; however, if I'm busy, it takes incentive for me to drop my current activities . . .
