I make my own packs (been a Doctor since November) and I know how much it costs me to make a pack (less than 10k considering mantainance on harvesters, houses, vendors, 16 factories, resources itself, etc).


Anyway, I've never had problems with people, I've buffed tons of people at Lagonet in prime times (meaning, lots of lag, 5 fps, ignore list flooding with names) and still managed to make people happy with my buffs.


I charge 8k-10k for my buffs (depending on my mood hehehe) but every weekend I spend 2 sets of buffs (31 uses per set, 62 sets in all) and buff the first 62 people for free. It's some sort of retribution to the swg community for making meearn loads of cash every week and well, get the player's gratitude, cause not everybody can pay 10k for a set every 3 hours.

Most of my buffing experiences have been very nice as well. I charge 12k, all my buffs hit above 2400, except for action which hits at 2600, and they last about 3 hours long. On Chilastra, thats decent, and i've had no shortage of customers.


There are the horror stories tho.


There was once we were about to set off on a base raid, so i was buffing my team mates. Most of them know what buffs cost and they tipped me the 10/12k credits. I was buffing at a medicine-specialised city, which means that all my buffs were hitting for 2600+ if not 2700. Then this fellow comes up and gets buffed. How much does he tip me? 1000 credits.


*sigh*


Then there are the other idiots of course who can't wait to display their knowledge of Medicine and crafting and can't wait to start criticizing your buffs. I just tell 'em sorry mate, you'll have to find another doctor. I will not be buffing you. Screams and shouts occur of course, but generally, i just reply with "I'm adding you to the ignore list".


By and large, all my buffing experiences have been wonderful
