Yeah, I know about the notepad. That's where I store my macros that keep getting erased somehow (off topic).

But there should still be a seperate list. You don't have to put everyone in you Ignore or Friends list on /note every night before you log off and readd them when you log back on.

Maybe not a pressing issue, but a nice feature.

I will ban or not buff someone who had been just a plain @ss. As far as someone who killed me cuz i got a TEF or cuz i am overt....hey i am fair game. You choose you buff a over player....fully knowing you could be attacked. I do one of 2 things, i tell the overt player they must stay by my side until my TEF goes away for a little more protection (they will be banned if theysay yes and then run away) or just dont buff them. The other night i was in theed. I was the only doc there buffing and had a line of about 15 people waiting for buffs. I got a TEF from buffing a overt player, then about 30 secs before my TEF would have gone away, i got attacked. I put up a decent fight, but did get killed. After i cloned, i ran out of the clone center, back to the line of people there still waiting, tipped the cash back to the player that was next in line and said that thanks to XXX player and his sneak attack....i will no longer be buffing. Well that guy then had about 15 PO'ed players sending him hate tells and what not. I thought it was great. The only reason i was really mad about getting attacked was there were 5 overt imp waiting in line and he never touched them...he went right for me figureing I was a unarmed doc and would be easy a easy kill.

5 Overt Imps and none of them helped you out? They would have made my $#!% list for a week at least. I know they are not obligated to help you, but if they want buffs, help the doc out.

There's something of a groundswell on Ahazi to create a "most rude customer" list of people who saunter up to a buffing doc demanding immediate attention, and when politely told to get in line and wait their turn, transform themselves from anonymous players into renowned asshats.

/denyservice

Okay I understand how this helps an entertainer. I mean anyone can just walk up and /watch or /listen to you. So /denyservice is great for that. How exactly does this work for a doctor? I mean if I want to deny service I just don't select the person and start my buff. Does /denyservice used for stopping you from buffing the person if you forgot he is on your naughty list?

Someone please explain this a little clearer for me. Thanks!

After being a Doc for a while now I can say I have had my fair share of being killed while having a TEF. I have personally never put someone on my **edit** list because they killed me in pvp. Whether you like it or not if you have a TEFthen you have made yourself overt till it falls. This in my opinion makes a player, even a doc without combat skills, an acceptable target in the war. However, as a rebel and a roleplayer I do deny services to many of the major Imperial Guilds on my server. I have recieved many different reactions for this. Some say oh well and just take their money elsewhere. Others like to flame, but they just go on /addignorequickly. I even had one girl tell me that I was not being fair and that she was going to report me to a CSR for using unfair business practices. LOL.I tried to explain what "roleplaying" is and what the R stands for in MMORPG. This justaggravated her more and led to flaming and name calling. I suggested she write up her threatened complaint immediately so that the details would be fresh in her mind. HAHA Anyways, I just added ignore when the flaming continued. The bottom line is that some of us don't have combat skills or horrible lag that makes pvp not fun (both in my case) and so the best way for us to fightin the war is to not buff those that would hurt us.

I've been a Master Doc since shortly after the release. I never denied service to any player.

Since joining a guild and ever since my first PvP battle I will not buff an Imp. It makes absolutely no sense.

Why would you help someone...anyone...of the opposite Faction with something as powerfull as buffs? If he isn't after you, it's a safe bet he'll be after somebody of your faction. A guildmate perhaps?

If an Imp wants a Buff send him to an Imp Doctor.

If a Reb wants a Buff he should seek out a Reb Doctor.

Had my first official buffing session last night and I didn't run into anyone who was being an ass, so there's still hope. And that includes me temporarily losing my internet connection and disconnection with a line of 6-7 people (sorry again to all those people :smile. Looks like I'll have a long and happy future ahead of me...

its been awhile since I was a MD sitting in Coronet buffing... anyway, this is for those who say its war and blahblahblah..

Try being in the shoes of a MD buffing once, its a world of /tells up the ying-yang, long lines of impatient people complaining while you sit and buff people for what can seem like an eternity. Most of the time I was barely paying attention to the screen any longer as I targeted the next guy, macro loop go. Anyway what I'm saying is that oftentimes I didn't even notice if they were overt until it was too late.

I got killed many times tef'd, those players went straight to the blacklist. But every once again I'd get incap'd by a player who would choose NOT to db and instead send a /tell hey, this is war, next time I may not be so nice..

I actually respected those players.

I am nuet. but I do, from time to time, get rude players in my buff line.Usually I hit my armour macro and change my skill to TKM and ask them if there is going to be a problem.. usually they understand and calm down. The few whodidnt get it,have learn a new way to view the sky in front of their friends! Then they go onmy slist with the rest of the trash.
