Thread: HOW DO I DENY SERVICES?

Well if you buff an overt, its your own fault your dead. I will kill the enemy, or anyone who aids him
Then don't ask the enemy to buff you
I'm not taking issue, I'm just trying to understand why you would want to deny services. I get it now.
As for the killing and then buffing, if its right away that they're asking for a buff, I understand not giving it to them, or even if it's a later day but they still killed you for getting a TEF from buffing. But just because they killed you once in a fight doesn't mean you should hold back from buffing (I don't think anyone actually said that at all, just clarifying my point).
I'm looking forward to seeing what all this is about in the field once I hit master.
It's a hazard of any medic who is factioned who heals an overt, because you can'tdiscern their status, overt or covert without asking. Medics who are neutral don't have this problem; they can't heal anyone overt or with a TEF.
I can't tell you how nervous I got in the Theed cantina when I tossed an AOE stim and some overt reb was in the healing radius, and I got a TEF. I avoid PvP outside of events like the plauge, because it becomes one on one ganking, and I don't have any defense skills built in to my CM toon, aside from the ranged support and pistol IV stuff.
However, if you've been identified positively as someone who will kill a doctor on the other side who has a TEF, I don't think it's reasonable for you to ever expect that doc to buff you again. Too bad. You made your decision, based on the "necessity of war"; now live with the consequences of it.

It is a good idea to keep a list. I check it frequently along with what the person did. If they are on the list, they don't get anything from me.
Plus with a list you can always say the classic line: "You're going on my list, buddy!"
Yeah, I keep one. ![]()

I there a list somewhere you can check to see who you've denied service to? Kind of like the /addignore list?

Personaly, I think there is a difference between making PvP war and griefing. Griefing is where you try to gain enjoyment out of other people's misery. Killing a public buffer is trying to destroy other people's gaming by taking away their ability to get buffed. So it would only be fair that such a person can't get buffed and have problems joining the PvP war just like they caused for others. It seems the only fair recourse.
