well all i can say is finally, now those bounty hunters who rely on dot weapons are no more, the ones that are too scared to fight me without dots, well now we'll see who the real Master bh is. Good thing for me i have a doc alt.

CM is a dead profession for now. Now Doctors have Buffs AND innoculations for income, while Combat Medics have what? Absolutely nothing.

And I am a Doc myself.

I have managed to collect all the necessary resources to make the Disease and Poison Resist C's (pretty good quality) and the rae adisease and poison cures. Once this goes live I will run tests and post how effective C's can be against Cm's.

here's the A area cure copied from my post on the CM board

The Area cure A alone can counter 100% of a CM's poison or disease damages

I have made one of the area cure A packs (edited for accuracy)

  • 44 charge

  • 209 effectivness

  • 22m range

  • Med Use 70

made using

  • 1-ALS 145 power

  • 1-ADM 12 charge/11 range /14 AE

  • 1-ABEC 20 charge 12 power

  • Insect meatOQ 931,PE 348, Flav 425, DR 247

  • Gas OQ 741, DR 638

can be used as quick as I can click the hot key

Mind Use (unarmored Wookiee)

  • Base Mind 950, Focus 650, Will 600 - 115 mind used for each application

  • 1 swig of brandy, Mind 1298, Focus 998, Will 948 - 70 mind used for each application

  • 2 swigs of brandy, Mind 1646, Focus 1346, Will 1296 - 25 mind used for each application

no graphic for use so there is no real way to pick out the doctor in the crowd

MY RESOURCES ARE BY NO MEANS "THE BEST" and the Live players will make even stronger versions of the cures. This "fix" goes way beyond a nerf.

My account is already cancled so my opinion doesn't matter much.....it's up to you that still pay to play to decide if this is an "ok" fix

wow thats pretty insane. C's will make people virtually immune.

I'm really happy, but if these stats are correct, then its TOO harsh of a nerf.

Guess these will stop your 1600 tick poisons

Introduction: I'm a MCM, Master Doc, have been for nearly a year--not a grinder. I know both profs pretty well.

Overview: Devs screwed up by making CM DoTs too strong to begin with, compounded problem with crazy strong loot ingredients. For awhile it was CM heaven--get strong DoTs, get havla, bombs away. Recent changes have been steps in the right direction: the havla loophole closed and the range reduced.

Problems persist: However, these changes see the pendulum swing too far otherwise. Nullification of CM DoTs is much too easy, or will be. And the entire philosophy of the changes is wrong. Docs should be behind the lines buffers and healers, CMs upfront doing damage and healing same.

Suggestions:

1) The inoculations should go to the Docs but have their potency adjusted to make CM DoT potency mean something for a change.

2) The area cures should go to the CMs, not Docs.

Personally I would have to argue the reverse, the innoculation should go to CM and really shouldn't have an area cure, but if they do put in it'll go to the doc because if you leave it to CM, then all you'll see are Master Rifleman/Master CM running around on all the server because then they'll able to poison/disease and cure poison/disease at the same time.

I agree..there has to be a balance between professions. No profession should be able to dominate. CMs should not be able to apply cures at all. Fine, they can poison and disease someone, but only a doctor should be able to "heal" the injured. Balances Doctor and CM out. Otherwise, CM would have everything. They're already all powerful for the most part, so they need something to try to help out the other guys that are getting annihilated by CMs.

I am a Master Doc/Master CM and have been for 9 months.. I originally picked up CM because of the ranged and area healing. I love that aspect of it. I dont PvP (until griefing is finally adressed as it should be, I wont either), I PvE as much as possible though (with only a few skill points, heh.. i suck in combat lol).

I have grown more and more disgusted with the state of SW:G. Instead of fixing combat, they nerf the professions that can heal and do damage, making the general population easier to kill, thus providing the 'illusion' that the game is harder with more content, when in fact, itsnot. I weep for my CM profession that now finds itself on the losing end of a nerf, and when buffs are nerfed, and the Docs start complaining the way the CMs are now, Ill weep for that profession too.

I remember an old adage "people who live in glass houses, ought not throw stones".. to my fellow Docs.. laugh it up now, we're most likely next..
