Thread: Docs Quitting?

I've canceled all 4 of my accounts. I may try the CF with my Jedi later. The characters I played most were my Doctor, Jedi, armorsmith, Ranger, and Smuggler so you can imagine why this is the straw that broke my camel's back.
One of my favorite aspects of this game is the crafting, I absolutely love it and no other game comes close, but these changes are just too much. But, given my addictive personality, I'm sure I'll be back later but this time with only one account. To me the game is dead when the CF goes live and anything after that will just be trying to relive the good ole days.

I will wait to see what happens before making any final decisions. Nothing is set in stone yet....

It all depends on what they release after TC. I love playing SWG and if what comes from the CU that is currently in the TC I wont just be dropping a Doc/CM I will be dropping both my accounts and finding a new game to play.

I have two accounts and play two servers.
One account has 3 combat characters. Probably stay with this one.
One account has a Master Doctor/Master Musician & a Master Merchant/Master Armorsmith (in progress)/Master Weaponsmith (in progress). If therole of the doctor &crafting nerfs do not get addressed I will most likely cancel this account. I did not make my Doc to go into the field (I have a CM/Rifle for that.) He is a short fat bald man who is a lot of fun to role play (in town).

I run 3 accounts. My main is a Master Doc/TKM. My alt is a Master Dancer/Master ID/Merchant. My other alt is fairly new... master Brawler atm... nothing else appreciable.
I'm not planning to cancel anything. My growing displeasure from the game isn't with the CU. Its with Jedi. I'd pay to transfer my accounts to a Jedi-free server.
Anyway, my plans for the post-CU are:
My main will be going combat...
My Dancer/Merchant/ID will almost certainly not change.
My other alt will be my Doc/BE... assuming buffs are worth having an alt for - which depends, mostly , on duration.
I'm giving CU plenty of room and time to prove itself.

I have 2 accounts, and I'm probably going to cancel them both, at least temporarily. Tracking down non-doc customers is too hard, and my Doc is really there to support my main.
Due to my home situation (2 kids, and both of us work) my play time is non-standard. I can be on for 3 hours straight, or I might be on for 3 hours, but unterrrupted every 20 minutes to get water for the little one, or because its my turn to rock the baby. I can't (and don't) expect people I don't know to put up with me having to be AFK every 20 minutes sometimes. If I can't solo, I'm not going to be playing.
Good luck to those that stay. For the record, I tried the Test Center, and I was very disappointed. If you look back (and I really don't expect you to) I was an early proponent of the CU...but my attitude has indeed changed.

I will most likely be canceling both my accounts, this CU has fu*ked me over it looks like, I have a Master doc / Master Cm for my main and i have 12 point suits for both doc and cm, with the CU i cant be master doc master cm and craft for doc and cm... which has me pissed off, i have millions apon millions of doc resources for making stim b's and buffpacks and i want to make money by selling stims and buffpacks not by following people around all day, thats why i have my alt... my alt is master merchant, with some rifleman and scout.... I like doc how it is right now cuz i can craft my awsomeness some days than another day go out and fight with my guildmates than the next day sell some of my supplies for cash than go craft again or go fight, i like it with doc and cm how i can do that and now i wont be able to... arg i fu*king hate soe so god damned much. My guild has been my family for almost 2 years... ive lived with the stupidity of this game for that long because i love my guild so much but this will most likely be the last straw that tears us apart

Cancelled both my accounts yesterday. My main had been a doctor for over a year now....

i hope they leave some servers or at least one server with the current system and the option to move there, including all your stuff and money. But i think most people know nothing like this ever happens in this game.

I have to say for myself that I was pretty dissappointed about this whole change in the game, especially with the Doc field. I have been playing this since fall 2003 and for the most part really getting into in the last year.. Finally am working on the pathetic village grind and now I find that things are gonna change soon with it.. I am also working on the crafting fs area and, especially finding out the docs will barely be doing any crafting (not fully sure if that fully true or not), but it pissed me off to hear something like that after searching around and blowing a crap load of money on resources for my buffs and stims that I am planning to make, and find out that they will have no use afterwards.. arrrrggggg.
I do understand that it hasn't hit as of yet, so I can't and shouldn't judge yet and I believe in change.... some change.. not the whole game that we have played for quite a long time and everything that we've done up to know can be screwed.. I just think it hurts the medical field too harshly.
But am not fully sure if I will quit SWG as of yet.. basically gotta see how it is when it hits.. but all I know, if I do.. my wife will be bloody happy I did.. lol.

Hey guys we should not be feeling sorry for ourselves because they have nerfed the profession and the game, we really ought to feel sorry for the devs bcause Ive a feeling there will be an awful lot of them looking for work when this debacle is finished. As you sow so shall you reap...........C'est la vie.
