Well my doc has no combat skills at all, master doc/master artisan
I know this was my choice but have a rifleman/CM and a jedi If I wanted to go out and kill stuff.
The way I see it its going to be very difficult to make cash after the CU, very rarely do I get a tip for healing wounds, I do get tips for rezzing ppl but as most of them tend to be Knights I have to be Spec forces to do it so I have to hide in a cantina to be safe.
When I do go out into the 'real world' I often dont even get a please added to the 'heal me' requests I try to put this down to language barriers but they cant all be ppl whos english is that bad, just mostly ignorant.
Will keep doc for a while longer, there again I spose I could make my cash making swoops

With the CU I will lose half of my gameplay value for my favorite avatar, MD/Master Fencer.
I lose all of the crafting that I enjoy. Combat is fine.. I simply don't do that 24x7. Some days I don't do it at all.
I lose all of the surveying and resource hunting that I enjoy.
I lose all of the income that was generated by crafting, that allowed me to buy other fun things. I will have to go back to resource selling, which has a vastly lower return on investment and is frankly really boring compared to crafting things that I use in my work.
I don't particularly mind the resources becoming devalued. I collected them all myself. They'll generate a good penny since they are prime.
It's not clear to me that Doctors needed to lose crafting, and that BEs needed to gain it. They make pets, after all, and thus have their own income stream. It seems reasonable to me to gain some interdependency, such as Doctors relying on BE crafted components, however.
I really dislike Doctor being redefined exclusively in terms of how it supports combat, since I simply don't spend a lot of time IN combat. YMMV.
