After some group hunting with my 2 Doc templates i have mixed feelings about it.


With my TKM/Doc i m doing extremely well. If everything works well and the group is taking 1 mob at a time giving me the possibility to taunt and keep the agro, imerely have to heal myself (which isnt that much as the damage reduction of TK Master with Center of Being is great).


With my Pistoleer/Doc i dont have control of the agro, so i usualy end up with 2 or 3 mobs hitting on me, because of my heals and group attacking multiple targets at once. Thenadd the bugs (Pikets hit me with ranged attack from 100m+, with melee attack from 30m+) and the fact that u dont see which mob is attacking u (from the red health loss figures i see that there must be 3 attackers, but the fight animations look like all mobs are fighting group members). If someone accidentaly uses an area attack and the whole pack comes over the group i can only advise to stop healing. after just one heal i m usualy incapped or dead withinseconds (10 or moremobs attacking). just wait til everyone is incaped / dead and start rezzing / healing.


After just 1 week my armour was totaly wastedand had to be replaced as i m the main target in hunts. So in group hunts i have more expenses then i ever get from the mission rewards. This is another big advantage for my TKM/Doc as i dont have any armour decay there.


And what i have to add is that in my experience,when in random hunting groups thereare always at least1 or 2 members that are combatants thati cannot heal. Ok, this is mainly their problem, but in the heat of the battle i often loose some valuable rounds trying to heal those guys.

While I'm glad that you are enjoying your skills while healing a couple of lvl 30 players, try testing your abilities on Kashyyyk in the mydril caverns, the geonosian cave,or on the corellian corvette. Before the CU, when a group was going to places that dangerous, having a Doc was necessary. Just try going now. You'll find that with your current abilities you cannot keep up with the damage that the group is receiving. And as far as Doc skills getting farmed out to other professions, lets not forget that anyone can rez themselves with the hero ring. Now we have the new addition of the rez cybernetic arm that allows anyone to rez anyone. My jedi padawan with novice healing and the rez arm is twice the Doc that my MD of of two years is.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

I'm disappointed in Doctor too.

I was MD before CD and again after... It sucks.

The only thing nice is not having to have a wound pack for six different attributes. But the buffs are useless, plus 400 HP for a level 80? Why would anyone bother? And then one of our buffs lasts for 40 seconds... Oh yeah, that's useful.

Our healing is low too, we heal for too low! Plus! The timer is so long. Jedi at novice healing can heal for about the same amount and with a much shorter timer which means, their heal is worth more than ours!


The only thing seperating CM and Doctor is one being useful in combat and the other giving pitiful buffs not worth the time of giving or getting... If you're going to be medic anything, at least make it CM.

And I still can't believe that EVERYTHING is now reliant on a BE. CMs, Docs, Tailors, Chefs... Why are BEs all powerful now? I say it's too much power for them and far too great of a responsibility.
