I disagree. If you know how to macro correctly I can be fed all the time and my droid is always charged.

yeha but then you waste bivoli when no-ones around dont you?

Probably why he/she can't make enough credits ingame...

Sure, because an ATK doc typically won't sit still for 12 hours at a time buffing people. But they also won't waste bivoli, brandy if they need it, droid batteries, etc... either. Add to that they have a chance to enjoy the game at a different level than an AFKer does.

Doesn't bother me if you want to just run macros all day long. You're not on my server, and everyone that I know on Valcyn would rather look for an ATKer first, and pay higher for the service.

Just don't expect to talk a big game about AFK doc'ing in this forum without getting flamed a bit.

Not sure if you've read any of my posts or not or you just have a beef against AFKers for some reason. I play typically 5hrs a day or so of which i'm not AFK and usually grinding out something hard core with very little macros. Some days when I hit the hay I will leave up my buffer for people to use and be able to grind out their stuff when I'm not around and they want a top quality buff. This all started with someone wanting to know how to recharge a droid the post had nothing to do with you all having a beef against how other people are destroying your beautiful little version of how the game should be played.
As far as me "wasting" food or whatever else. I don't know which is better for the game...me stimulating the economy for chefs, etc or you hording your goods...don't know...you'd have to ask your local chef which person he likes more. You also might want to check in with the guys whom don't play the same hours as you and see if they like having a few buff options with different prices and strengths for their choice when most people are catching their ZZZs.
Anyways, I'm tired of fighting with you all about it. I play the game the way I enjoy it, I have plenty of people I interact with on a regular basis and whom have told me they enjoy my overnight buffer so he will continue to be there for my benefit as well as theirs. Someday the whole world will change to suit your needs and be just like you...wouldn't that be spectacular for you!

I don't have a beef with afk'ers, as I've said in previous posts. This started when I said there is a time and place for afk'ers, just that atk'ers in my mind are better, and for a number of reasons.

Not only do I sometimes use afk'ers (when I can't find atk'ers or they're all busy) but I'll will probably set one up for guild use, allowing our gracious only other doc in the guild to get up and about.

And I also said to each his/her own, meaning what you do really doesn't affect me anyway.

Enjoy the game.

WELL I'm not gonna sit here and say that I don't have problem with AFK buff bots, cuz I do.

We are part of an elite profession, we took on the job of being a Master Doctor to help peopleor did we do it for the easy credits? MOST did it for the EASY credits, but that's not what it is about, it's about us helping people. every time I buff someone, they dance a jig and get happy just becauseI healed their primary and secondary wounds, lets pretend that we depend on these people for our bread and butter. stop being "AFK" and tend to the players, interact with them, Ihave been buffed by some "COLD HEARTED players"we all know what being a doctor means yeah we all get TELLS "are you buffing" or "will please buff me" but we also get those TELLS "will you please heal my wounds," or "can you stop my disease" and if you are AFK you can't answer that call. LETS pretend that WE are doctors and not greedy selfish people that humans really are. AFK means Away from the keyboard but I don't think it means to STAY AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD. It's okay to buff a noob for free, it's okay to help people out. AFTER all it is just a game!

A bit off topic, but you mentioned buffing noobs for free...

I did exactly that this morning, right after warning him that, as a novice doc with only +17 attachments and 903 power 89 med use buffs, that they were fairly low (1748 outside of my med city). So he said ok, and I buffed him, glad for the PILES of xp I got for it.

I was asked by someone else who saw me buffing, gave him/her the same warning, then buffed. He/she asked how much, and I said (in spatial) "whatever you think they're worth". This person was kind enough to tip me 5000 for 1748 buffs, and was on their way.

I then got a hate tell (my first ingame! woot!) from a nearby doc (who wasn't buffing at the time) telling me I was ruining the market by letting that person decide what to pay. I explained the conversation I'd had regarding the strength of them, and still got hate tells.

So my question, was I wrong in telling that person they could tip whatever for my highly mediocre buffs?

IMO, no way were you out of line. I am a Master Doc andmy non-jedi buffs are 2500s in a regular city. When someone asks me how much, my standard answer is "Whatever you think is fair." I have had a few people tip 10k or a tad less, usually with an explanation that they are low on funds. More often than not I get a tip from them later after they've done some missions.

My average tip is about 17k. Most people tip at least 15k and usually 20k. I've received 50k tips before when there were no other docs to be found. Whenever someone tips generously I always send a /tell thanking them. (Normally once I've gotten away from the buff line that formed and can go back through emails.)

I know what my buffs are worth, I know what it costs me to make them or what it costs me to buy them. I could surely slap a price tag on them and get what I asked. But I've found people to be much more generous and friendly when I tell them "Whatever you think is fair." The few times I've gotten low (sub 10k) tips someone has always come behind them with a 20 - 25k tip. It all comes out in the wash.

I have yet to receive a hate /tell but I also do very little public buffing. I personally think if you're comforable saying "Whatever you think they're worth," keep saying it!

Thanks for that. I hit 2-4-4-0 this morning, and was dropping them at 2100 outside of our med city. Before that, though, I helped an Imp in trouble in coronet, then buffed him with the same information. He tipped me 20k for the trouble, and said thanks for being fair (not that asking 10k isn't fair). And yes, I always thank folks when they tip me, even if it's 500 credits for wound heals. I'll probably set a price once I'm buffing with better than 89MU 903 power buffs because of the price, but for now, since I can't hit the 2500+ stats, I'll go on with business as usual.
