ok now i have to say something about that alyxian.

That is messed up. if you dont want to buff then simply say no i dont buff the public or whatever u say. You shouldnt make people pay more because you're an idiot......err i mean because you dont feel like buffing them.

I am a master doc and i occassionally buff the other players in the game, and you know what i charge? WHATEVER THEY WANT TO PAY. and everyone i buff pays me in a range from 10k - 20k. if they dont want to pay that's fine i dont need the credits, there are other ways of making money then over charging for buffs. And yes i get people who dont pay but that'smostly because i tell them not too.

People shouldnt have to pay15k or 20k , or however much upeople charge, just because you say so. it's not right.

The doctors that charge that much are just greedy. Plain and simple.

Well I am not being an idiot, I tell them, I am not buffing. The reason I say 50k-100k is simple, PEOPLE WON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

To steal a line from Kill Bill 2, "F*(king with your cash is the only thing you kids understand".

You obviously have a lot more time to spend in game than I. I am glad you buff for nothing, but I don't have that kind of time to waste on people that will not even RP the transaction with me. I am not being greedy, when I say 50-100k I honestly expect them to say NO! I expect them to say "I'm not paying that for a buff!" and leave me alone.

As for the idiot comment, if I were to stoop to your level I could make all sorts of comments about how intelligent it is to give buffs away for free, and call people names because they prefer to spend thier time doing what they want in a game and charging whatever they can get for thier services. But I won't, because it would bring me down to a level I refuse to stoop to.

I like public buffing after a fashion, for me it's a low-stress situation that has immediate financial return. I charge a fair fee (usually 1-3k lower than a non-afk/similar power buff) and I started offering the use of havla for 5k (I know I know, undercharging).

Though I have been considering starting an express line for 20k per buff...

Well thanks for the correction

As I said, I am happy you play that way and it works out for you. I happen to role-play, and I also happen to RP an Outcast NightSister. I am not a nice charachter :-D

And as I said, my first response is always...I don't buff the public, and then I explain why my price is high even if they persist. The real point I was trying to get at is that it really is thier choice to pay, just like it is mine not to buff. I spend a TON of time crafting my packs, and gathering the resources, and right now I don't sell. I hope to soon, but the point is, if they can't make it worth my while...meaning what it is worth to me...they are free to go elsewhere and i will not complain at all.

On the flip side, I am also the person who spends time in Mos Eisley shouting:

"Please help the poor NightSister Orphans of Dathomir get something to eat!! Give me your melon and I will enhance you for it!"

"((If you are new, have no PA tag, no mastries, and no POI badges, come see me at xxxx xxxx and I will give you a free buff and help with questions))"

Sure I only use my crap experiment buffs on them with no bivoli, but hell, for a n00b, this is a great deal, I just want thier useless melon. And if they ate thier melon, and are female, I just smile and buff them anyway...the males, well they have to do a very simple task for me and I buff them too. /evilgrin

Again, my point was all about my time and how I want to spend it

i correted myself on that idiot comment alyxian

and what does me letting people pay what they think the buff is worth have to do with the time i spend in-game? and i dont give everyone a free buff only the ones that dont pay, and so far everyone has paid for my buff. No one has paid under 10k, the only ones that i dont even say anything to concerning a price is my friends. The only buffs i have given away for free are the ones i insisted on giving away.

And i guess something is wrong with the server you are playing on because everytime i have told someone i am no longer buffing or arent buffing at all. They just walk away, or say thanks anyway. I have not yet been asked multiple times to buff someone after i have already said that i was not buffing.

But ussually if someone asks me to buff them; i will take the time to take off my armor, put my BE clothes on, eat bivoli and drink brandy, and take out my droid. If i am short on time i will eat a havla as well. I do it because the people are in need of buffs, even the people who cant afford it. and yes there are people out there that cant afford buffs.

and im not one of those people who spam in coronet or anywhere esle. i simply start buffing myself and if someone see me and asks me to buff them as well then i will. That's when more and more poeple come up and i start buffing them. sure ittakestime away from me doing what i wanted to do. But i dont mind.

This is how I look at it

I charge 15k for normal line buff, 50k for line skip (may have to raise that to 60k with all the line skips I'm getting)

Yea docs make money.. but I don't make my own buffs because I don't care to find the resources.. am I lazy? No I'm a previous master weaponsmith and 2 time master artisan that is tired of resources...

So I charge, don't give out free buffs (yea I was asked for a freebee and asked the person to leave my line) because I am paying another doc for their time. They make money making buffs.. I make money selling them. The person I buff makes money on missions.

I sit in coronet and buff on my time... not anyone elses so I decide how much my time is worth... If someone dosn't like it they go to another line. End of story. I don't increase my buff time for anyone (even friends or vip's) so I always am able to take my biv.

I'm also TKM so I know how much money I can make buffed on dath fighting ER's. When I did missions for money I took 50k line skips so I could get back out to get more money.

It's the old adage that time is money... how much is your time worth?

Mine is worth 15k for a line buff and 50k for head of the line privalige... and if my costomers want to complain about the line skip they saw it in my buff report and elected not to pay.

That's just the way I see it.
