A 400 power stim B for a novice medic isn't that much. Trust me. I've got a master doc on one server and a novice medic on another. On a death planet that 400 -700 pts of HAM (because I've only gota +5 treatment mod) is a drop in the bucket. They may reduce the need for dedicated healers for the starter planets but not the death ones. I've been combat since day 1 and added master doc to my combat template. TRUST ME. A dedicated healer is always desired.

Even with a good set of doc buffs you can still get into trouble. If you are buffed and if you ever get to the point that you actually need a stim B you are dead because it won't heal up enough HAM to spit at.

i believe the quote is

"Lastly is the follow up to many of the preliminary changes that have been made so far. This includes balancing armor, buffs and DoTs, bringing them in line with the combat balance overall."

I don't think I agree with 200% total, as you'd die almost always with that.

I have died even when buffed. It is not so hard to die, even with a 2k buff. Just depends on how many people you have with you etc..

I died on dath last night, but luckily another doc was around to pick me up. it was a FREAKIN BAZ NICH!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

If your a MASTER combat proffesion, with uber composite and decent buffs, food and drink then you SHOULDNT be dying as much.. as say.. a novice elite etc..

Maybe you are doing things right and proceeding cautiously against appropriately scaled creatures for your group, but alot of people have been solo grinding through creatures way over their head. If the buffs are smaller and the creatures are rebalanced as theyhave beenpromised to be, it is just a matter of finding the appropriately scaled mob for your capabilities. There are alot of complaints that the high end MOBS are not tough enough. This would certainly bring back some of the challenge.

Yes, you may be getting less xp, credits, hides, etc. but, I personally think alot of people have forgotten that progressing through your skills is part of the game, not just an obstacle on your way to the next big PvP template.

I agree that a buffed, armored master should be tougher than the a novice but currently, the buffed armored novice is far more durable than the master in PvE. The outcomes of fights is determined more by your buff and armor thanby tactics and skills.

Reducing the buffs, especially secondary ones, will make buffs and heavy armor an advantage but not a requirement. It also will allow other lighter armors to be more viable options without specifically nerfing armor or creating Pre-Nerf markets

Yeah. I agree the composite in and of itself is very balanced. There was a thread on the AS forums awhile back and the smiths were saying "composite needs to be rebalanced. It's too powerful". Composite is not the problem. Composite and buffs are the problem. The high protections of composite come with a high price because if you aren't buffed all you can do is fire regular shots. Besides when is the last time you put on your uber 80% kinetic 37% stun composite without a full set of doc buffs?

That would be never.
