I believe we got word from the devs on this already when they explained why the buff randomness was removed. The 3k+ buffs we used to get with good rolls would not have fit with the new combat system.

Seroiusly though,

There is ageneral post (one of JustG's or TH's) about the future combat balance stuff and the word buffs was in it. The devs reserve the right (well at any time but specifically here) to adjust buffs... in this case...if needed in the combat balance.

Will they go down? We don't know. We haven't seen the combat balance patch any more then the TC people have. Iahve a feeling the combat pass is gonna have a long TC life, with tons of tweaks.

It is one of the reasons I'm getting out of dodge. I don't like playing on TC The combat pass will require a lot of TC time to work stuff out. The buff changes ate almost all of my gametime. Even with the dedicated TC docs, it is gonna be a lot of work testing stuff... and keeping the combat guys alive as they learn to work with the changes day to day.

They may not go down, but i'd like( personally) to have the buff numbers scale better so Bs get a little more play. I'm not sure if anything can be doen about A meds of any kind.

Stim Bs may catch a beating, either in med use to use, max heal, or both.. 400+ at15 skill points is way too much.

The stats? Maybe not... but I don't see them staying at med use 5 in the long run. It basically kills dedicated healers in groups and overpowers oloing (with a bunch of other stuff)...

They haven't said anything, but someting really does need to be done about them... It is seriously out of whack benefit/cost, if you measure the Skillpoints for value.

i believe the quote is

"Lastly is the follow up to many of the preliminary changes that have been made so far. This includes balancing armor, buffs and DoTs, bringing them in line with the combat balance overall."

Honestly, if they lowered the buffs, it'd be a good thing overall (as much as I hate to say that because I love my personal vendetta for 3k stats) but:

1. Makes game more challenging. (Do you guys ever actually die PvE?)

2.If the challenge level of the game isbrought up, then dying actually becomes a factor, and rebuffing will happen a lot more often.

3. I believe it was in this forum I read a combat prof say "I'd still pay for 1k per stat buffs, if they were the best." Exactly, if they "nerf" buffs to lower their enhancement, it doesn't take them out of the game, it simply lowers what the "best" is. If they decide to make the best buffs 1k, then dammit I'm gonna try to make 1k buffs.

I don't know, but personally the combat system is all out of whack. When I can solo Kimo Gila's all day as a master TKA / Doctor with about 0% chance of actually dying (as long as I have enough poison packs for the GDK) it does seem sorta off kilter, especially considering SOE's supposed intention of making this a "group combat" game.

Now, as far as stim b's are concerned, I 100% agree with our Correspondent.

400+ heal for Novice Medic is a bit much.

I kinda don't like the fact that Master Medic's can use D's and E's.

If anything they need to revamp it somehow to, as he said, put some sort of worth on anything below D level medicines.

This armor/buff issue definitely needs to be looked into.I am personally behind adding some sort of new encunbrance based on on the Armor Type to movement or accuracy coupled with an overall reduction or cap on buffs to around +200%.

I threw up a poll on theGCW forum feel free to weigh in on which end you think it should be attacked from.
