I don't think it has anything to do with the Chef Revamp. Nor does it have anything to do with Doctors or really any other profession out there. What hurt the player driven "economy" was the christmas gifts from SOE. Everyone had a reason to buy resources just to...yup I will say it.....GRIND. For the most part the grindis kinda slowing down from what I can tell, and we are slowly getting back to where we use to be. The holocrons are what destroyed the price of raw materials, not a profession revamp.


Think about it, before X-Mas, only the "die hard uber wanna be jedi's" would chase holocrons. The average player wouldn't, and STILL wont chase holo's. Reason being, to many campers, not enough drops. Why do you think Holocrons have dropped from 2-3 million credits to barely 300-500k. And the fact still remains that you can't get any force crystals or pearls, because of all the AFK Campers.


Because no one really has anything to loose with using a holo, why not. They can always go right back to their last template after they are done with there holos. Thus, the reaons I feel the player "Economy" has failed....because people are looking to make a quick buck over something 95% ofpeople tring to be jediwill never be.....A Jedi.


BTW Opened my slot last night. And nope never bought 1 resource from anyone to do it, and still don't have a Force Crystal or Pearl....so guess I will be LOOKING for one of those. I refuse to pay for them, I would rather earn it....even if it sucks.

Get a melee prof along with master doctor and scout 0/0/1/0 you'll never pay for meat again and if you have master heavy swords for example you can kill perleks as fast as they spawn.

you must have failed economics


when there are 500 people to suply a product to 1000 people then there is a steady price that can be kept up (like gas prices) now when that number jumpsfrom the 500/1000 people to 500/4000 then prices will go up this is simple suply and demand it only goes down when there is to much product for the people to consume


lets make a scenario


right now if i were to pull out a set of composite with 95% base i could sell it for a good 20 or 30 million credits why because theres nto many out there...


so what happens when i make that set but all of teh other people making comp make the same (now theres 1500 sets like it out there) what can i sell it for now?

now everyone that is "earning" there way into the world has no need to buy things so.. this means that there is no money transfering hands from one to the other


scenario 2


i have a krayt pearl to sell and no one is getting them i can sell it for a good 500k to 2 mil credits


but what happens when everyone decides that they just want to find sorry "earn" theirs well this means that noone has a need for mine anymroe and so i cant sell it for as much...

I guess it depends on the server you one. Gorath's resources didn't go up with the revamp.....they went up with all the Holo grinders. I guess there is no point to raise prices higher then they already are. I still don't agree with you about the Chef revamp. But whatever, you both made valid points so I will give you that, however I guess it just varies server to server.


Yori, I never took Economics so I couldn't have failed it. And that was just pretty stupid to insult my intelligence with that comment of yours. My point is just as valid as yours.
