It isn't our fault the buffs wre under 1k and by the same train of thought it isn't the fault of the recipient either. If you have 850 packs and BE clothes you absolutely have to break 2k on a regular basis. I was breaking 2k regularly on 780 packs. Also, the sub 1k buffs happen about as often as the 3k+ buffs. You are covered from those low buffs in this pricing scheme.

Refund or lower pricing for crappy buffs is more of a courtesy to the customer. Remember, its easier to keep your current customers happy than it is to win them back ofter you have pissed them off.

Word of mouth does exist in theis game and bad word of mouth can be very bad for business. If you piss enough people off you will find that you are having a harder time selling enevn those stim B's that used to go like hotcakes on your vendor.

Check out recent auctions for avian/herbivore meat. It's getting ridiculous! Right now on the Tarquinas trade forums, herbivore meat went for 55 cpu (and we all use this in our buff packs, 32 units of it -- which comes to 1760 credits, and from what I understand this is on the low end of the gouging), a stack of 12k avian meat with 944 OQ and 350ish PE for 500k and the auction is not finished. Assuming the avian meat sells at the current price, that puts it at 42 cpu. For emphasis, I'll consider a health buff pack (the one that uses the most avian meat) 42x28= 1176 credits. That's nearly 3000 credits, just for the 2 required meats! Especially considering that missions can be had for both avians and herbivores, these kinds of prices for meats are just absurd. I try to gather my own meats, and quite often I end up with meats that are superior to what is being sold on the trade forums. So since my meats are superior, that means they're worth more, right? And just as absurd are the people who pay it. If you pay these prices for meat, you contribute to the problem by encouraging this. I will be raising my buff pricesvery soon and very sharply to coincide with the continuous gouging that artisans and scouts insist on. Stuff rolls downhill. At current prices and time that goes into these buff packs, this can hardly be considered a money making proposition at 5k per full buff, which is what I had been charging on civilized planets, but no longer. When the bitching about my pricing occurs, I will tell them EXACTLY who to blame.

Thanks Sif!

I'll check it out if its still in shift tonight. I am up to 6077 units of popo and need just a few more units to do the experimentation needed to create a full crate of 50 for each type of stim.

Gathering meat was a lot faster and easier when I was Doc/TK. Holo made me go Pistoleer and I am not far enough into it to be an efficient killer yet.

Excellent point. I guess some just feel bad about it..

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen." - JULIO TORRES
