I agree that if there were no AFK tumblers in the Med center that thier most likely wouldn't be anyone in the Med Center.

Yes woundpacks use resources and since AFK tumblers are more common then Patients who need woundheals most would choose to craft Stimpacks or buy them rather than Woundpacks with the limited funds.

The Argument about tumblers is mainly fueled by the Non-medical Professions that need medics and doctors for healing that play during Non-Peak times where woundheals are needed but very few are able or willing to provide service.

I goint to put in my $0.02for the whole "I'm a MD and you're not, so it should be impossible for you to become one.." thing here.

One thing everyone seems to miss in this whole tumbler war:The game has just introduced a swarm of new characters that can heal out on hunts -- give up? JEDI

Keep in mind that there are nowplenty of Jedi who can heal all damage (including mind) and wounds, cutting the demand (if there even is one anymore) for medics/docs/cms out on hunts.

This is not a flame on Jedi or some kind of nerf-cry, just pointing out that the game is different sincethe anti-afk tumbler movementaccomplishedtheir acclaim-worthy feat of becoming a MD.

Other people simply CANT get it the same way you did even if they wanted to.

Also, why complain that there are too many doc's now that just want to buy packs and buff people at the starport?

If you were being helpful to the newbies to the proffesion those Doctors would be you'recustomer base, instead of having you on their "never buy buffs from the @sshat who just buffed my tumbler" list.

just stop the tumblers from tumbling in the med center.

and make the med center (or equivelent Player hospital) the only place to have 100 med rating.. get rid of 110 droids.. make them max of 75.

thats all i ask.. then people have to come to the med center to get the best buff'd and to get healed properly.

Give Drs a reason to be in the med center and tumblers a reason not to be.

I saw someone use 'cheating' used to describe tumbling/warcry/intimidation techniques. No one mentioned the radioactive sampling one which is good for musicians dancers and medics.

cheating : 1 a : to practice fraud or trickery b : to violate rules dishonestly (as at cards or on an examination)

Cheating is when there is some kind of penalty if you get caught doing this act. Since no one is looking for this, you can't call it cheating. It is not an exploit either. An exploit (cheating really)is using the code in a way that was never intended to give you beneficial results. Tumbling/Warcry/Intimidation were designed to use the HAM pool. Same goes for the radioactive sampling, it was designed to wound you.

So, with all that said, let the tumblers tumble, warcry cry and intimidate strike fear. It is legitiamate game play.

Next you will be saying that using special moves that use up HAM is cheating too, or surveying and sampling, or dueling to incapacitation, or what ever else it is that makes getting the medicprofession easier. There are so many that youwould nerf the game to stop them all. If you dont condone it, fine. But don't say it's cheating either.

The only thing I can't stand about tumblers is that they expect to get paid. I mean really, its like saying kill me so you can heal me and by the way, that will be 10000 credits.

The problems Doctors are having with AFK tumblers??? Which are what, again? That they work my nerve? That they stick in my craw? What, other than that, are they doing to make this game more or less fun for me?

This is a game. It's supposed to be fun. And it's not just supposed to be fun for you, it's supposed to be fun for me too. Mastering a profession is not the goal of the game. PLAYING is the goal of the game. Your grand fascist vision for how the game should be work is not shared by the developers, because no one wants to pay $15 a month to have a second job.

They alienate your customers, detract from your enjoyment, work your nerves, stick in your craw, flood the market with doctors, pick one.

They don't Detract from my enjoyment, or alienate customers, they certainly don't effect nerves or craw and don't flood the market with doctors??? so whats your point?

perhaps you should try mastering rifleman just killing durnies then you make see how effective lvling doc is without Tumblers and macro's!! its about the same exp again

and the 2nd paragraph

means without that facists remark, that without tumblers and macro's doc would take to long it would be like a "2nd Job" and the devs agree with tumblers and macro's...

Eh? The first part I understand...about the rifleman by killing durni...but maybe you didn't take a look at my signature. I am a Master Doctor, and in the past I have been a Master Rifleman. I know what the xp gain is for both, and I no more used an AFK tumbler than I killed Durni to level Rifleman--instead I went out on hunts, healed in cantinas, and waited in the Med Centers for someone to come in. I know quite a bit about the long path to mastering professions.

The second part of your reply about the "facists remark" made no sense to me. Perhaps you could try rephrasing it of me? I think what it meant to say was that the Devs agree with the AFK macroing.... I know this is untrue, but if you would like the post stating it, check here. JustG says: "...we really want to stop the hologrind. We feel that AFK macroers are not healthy for the game. We want it to stop as soon as we can. And yes, we are aware that we are the ones that put the system in place. This was not what we intended, but things have evolved to this point."

There are work arounds for making your mouse move a little.

But this will not stop tumblers. There are very many tumblers actually helping out a guild mate or RL friend and are sitting by the keyboard.

I was helping my brother grind through Medic and Doctor today by tumling and doing tricks with my pet . I was moving my mouse all the time.

Most doctors don't even wear their tag because they are bombarded with constant tells for buffs. Many of us could do with a bit more customer alienation.

The market is hardly flooded with doctors. Anyone who wants to buff for money can have all the work they want, at prices most people whine are "inflated".

This is a nonissue.

Tumbling is going away soon anyway. Then it's back to the ol' Bantha burn.
