All the other rewards, such as thatharvester that doesn't need power to function is nice and will certainly make the lives of those that have them easier, but won't really affect the business of those who decide to claim one. You spend less in a harvie andit's convenient but thats about it, it won't mess up with the structure, quality and prices of your final product.
And I'm sure all the Architects out there love the idea of people being able to get a free harvester.
People could buy these harvesteres from combat characters who don't want/need them and create huge static fields of them.
And the little miners who deal in power won't be annoyed by these harvesters in the slightest either.
It's ONE harvester. If you ever have mined ANY kind of resource in your entire gaming experience you would know it doesn't make that much of a difference. Whoever end up using this will probably have other 2-9 regular harvesters right beside it mining it too.
As for combat players buying this ... sure, I'm sure they would prefer toclaimas a reward a harvesterthat they can sell for2 mill max, when they can get 30k of a server's best avian and sell itto any of the big Docs at 350 cpu, for a profit of 10.5 mill.
Now if you want to sound all offended and sarcastic about somethingI'd recommend you to choose your subject more wisely. Get mad at the fact that harvesters never decay, because that is the worst problem of the Architect profession. Not some silly harvester that you don't need to put power on (but still need to pay maintanance for).

really now, how many people on your server could name the best ever shift of avian? uh..about none unless they have been a dedicated buffcrafting doc for some time.
...or if they know how to use the find resource function of swgcraft.com
I have never been a participant of any other crafting profession, but if I had a schematic in front of me I could find the best resource for all of the servers in about 5 minutes. Of course, that assumes that a casual crafter of meds would understand that buffpacks are where the money is and avian meat is the single largest determining factor in the quality of that product. Then again, the long-time doctors will be sure to let everyone know how they could best use their veteran rewards to ensure high-quality buffs at affordable prices...

What would the INERT gas be for? Is that a weaponsmith resource?

The reward isn't actually a harvestor. It's an itemthat you can apply to a harvestor to make it no longer need power.
