Thread: Unable to BUFF or HEAL faction pets? = ATST
Well it needed to be nerfed
healing it as a master doctor was a tad silly
but as many companies alwaysdo, they try to run before they can crawl
its easy for them to nerf something, butr not so easy for them to adjust something interacting with it.
Before the nerf took place , measures should have been there to counter act the heal such as droid repair
as manmy have said 9000-18800 faction points are a waste of time now, u can get hit twice by a commando and already ahve a unusable at-st
but then i guess thats what every one wants, if something to powerful they get nerfed, im still suprised us doctors can buff
Well there is a lot of confusion by some posters. It's true, AT-STs are no longer subject to any regeneration. Wounds cannot be healed and neither can damage at this time. Understand I don't mean just by doctors or medical personnel, no one can get their HAM back up as of now. Droid Engineers are unable to work on them, pet stims dont work and stims dont work. I am an Imperial as well and I agree that they are now tottally useless. It is being uniquely treated as the only (that i've seen) player pet (faction or otherwise) that cannot be healed.
Think of it as a moblie turret, thats all it is now. On that note, rebels are you able to repair turrets once they have been placed?

Simple it is about healing, why wouldn't it be here?
I see this is more a strategic blow to the economy and the flood of credits coming from Imperials running missions with their precious AT-STs. Holocron has said specifically that there is too much economic growth; on every server there's probablysomeone running around Tatooine, hogging all the Krayt dragon tissues with 3 AT-STs and a Stim E. (You probably know the name of the one on your server, too.) There's been discussion about removing faction pets from non-faction PvE, because of the unbalancing factor this creates. Although there hasn't been a consensus yet -- the Rebels want to remove the stupid things from baz nitch missions, the Imperials don't see a thing wrong with it, of course -- making the AT-STs less useful in PvE is a good thing, in myopinion, at least for now. Making them unhealable by stim medicine was one way to make them more of a one-shot weapon, a large and expensive and disposable tank to do a suicide raid with. Their use in PvE will fall; players will turn to other means to farm their mission credits; money flow will decrease. When they are brought back into balance and no longer flood the economy with a million credits a day in mission money, the devs will be done with the AT-ST, I think.
Whileall of thisis true, I completely agree that there should have been an alternate way to heal AT-STs, preferably at a stationary military depot. This could be a money sink for the Imperials running Scout Walker vs. Baz Nitch Night At The Fights; taking all of that baz nitchmoney out of the economy isgood. Perhaps the new player profession (Mechanic?) would be able to handle this someday, but that won't take money out of the economy any more than doctor heals do. (Sheesh, people hardly pay their doctors now, what makes anybody think they'd pay a mechanic if they didn't have to?)

Hey, IDIOTS, AT-ST's are the reason why the GCW is pretty much NON-EXISTENT right now!!! Before everyone had them, I was a part of some of the best pvp battles I've ever seen by far in 5 years of MMORPGs. Now???No huge battles, the Imps just pull out some tanks and the fight ends because no one wants to even come back from the cloning facility to resume the battle.
ONLY the Imps cry about AT ST nerfs.
Screw the movies, pvp should be fair (fair=fun).
That bunk about there being more Rebels than Imps is HOGWASH, Overt numbers are pretty equal.
AT ST'S should not be able to be used in PVE (who needs to be a master CH if you have one... or 3??).
PS. I had a guy put away his AT-ST in the middle of a battle yesterday WHILE we were attacking it... BULL$EET.
ROFLMAO, yeah, but the 16 Rancors in PvP are so much more fair..Especially that *if* you do 'kill' the Rancor its not permadeath. I also like how CH can FULLY heal their pets mind damage with 6 little keystrokes (/s tr1)..
If you're truly interested in fair than you also need to ditch the alien penalties in the Empire and put means in place that the sides are equal in population.. As it is on my server, Imperials are outnumbered easily 5:1--HENCE why we were given AT-STs. The AT-ST isn't the problem, its the horrible implementation (imagine that)
They can't be healed because they're a machine, fine. They can't get a bleed because they're a machine, fine. Then why can they still be diseased/poisoned?
However, I would suspect that the profession that will heal them are the one that will build swoops (several months away at least). DE's don't make any sense...they aren't droids.
I see it as a bad order of implementation thing. iIt needed to be fixed.. but the replacement needed to be put in at the same time.
Commando flame specials need a bit o' tweaking.. I ahve a commando.. he's overpowered as hell w/ a flamer.
