Thread: Isn't the 80k cap a problem?

Wait a sec.....your guide obviously shows you've put some work into this. I'm surprised the Devs haven't pulled it, their not doing so would indicate some tolerance for what you are doing.
But if you are as proud of your efforts as you seem to be, why did you write earlier in this thread:
"Where in this thread did I ever say that I afk macro? I didnt. And I dont."
Or have I missed the point, you have the macros but only run them when you are online, not afk?
If they increased the cap and decreased the conversion rate, the number of trips would stay the same. Yes, combat types have fewer trips to make, but they have more time in between trips to get to their caps. Keep in mind that the village is intended to be a time sink. Honestly, I don't care if the cap ever changes, I've never converted a single point of XP to force sensitive XP. I'm just pointing out some reasons for the current numbers. The XP caps are the same as they've always been. The new FS system did not include changes to them. The devs simply considered the caps and how easy or hard each type of XP is to get when they set the conversion rates.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that to change. The entire village system is designed to be slow. Because it is very easy to get med XP, the multiple trips to the village are what slows down those who are grinding senses XP.

Seems to me it should be the conversion rate that does that. The Devs seem to think that 30 pistol points are as hard to get as 10 med xp. If they think med xp is as easy to come by as you indicate, then they ought to change the rate and have a decent cap.
I've just hit my pistol xp cap (as a 0020 Pisoleer), 700k. Which bears out my previous guess that while docs have to make 20 visits to the Village to get a Tier 1 box, a combat type can do it in four (well, four and a few more points, and I have no idea what the cap is for a master, maybe they can get it all in one visit). Seems to me the number of trips across Dathomir ought to be equal for all, and the conversion rate is what is adjusted to make it equally hard.

Correct. Even if someone wanted to afk macro, they couldn't because you can't macro the xp conversion. Unknown if the devs did that intentionally, but the effect is sitll the same. The conversion macro i have in the guide brings up the window where you select what kind of xp you wish to convert and you have to click with the mouse to do the rest.
On second glance i didnt say that line you quoted, btw.
