Thread: Healer attitude problem
Well I am usually an equal-opportunity Medic. I don't get pissed at people for "butting in" when I'm healing or healing people faster than I am. Most of the time I just point and click ona wounded person and get them out, get exp, and sometimes I get cash for my trouble, sometimes not. Sometimes if I see anunconscious person out in the field I'll stim them back to life, then I stim them back to full health, sometimes for no more thana thank you. It could be a side effect of the group of elite professionals I have fallen in with who take very good care of me in return for what I provide for them. Soon I am going to become the doctor in our little pre-official player city we have set up.
Sometimes the people who are my "Preferred Customers" come in and throw me a quick 300 creds or so to heal their minor wounds and get them out. Usually I don't just go after money if I've been working on someone for the past 10-15 minutes or so, that would just be rude. But if I'm sitting around helping with random heals, then I'll go for it. It always helps to build a customer base. Once I become a doctor, I may even make "housecalls" who knows?
I makes me sad to think that people will not spent the extra 1 second to 30 seconds to find out if someone has secondary wounds and heal them. I mostly make every C wound packfromAction to Stamina and place them in my tool bar. I also makeone Health and one Action wound pack E for the really big heals.I take great pride in the fact that no one ever leaves myHospital with any wounds while I am there.
1. chat spammers
2. /yell "MEDIC!!" x3
3. /t __ "Can you heal me, I'll pay" x10
4. "You don't need a tip, you get xp"
5. "Who wants XP?"
Brawler/Marksman attitude problmes caused the medic attitude problems.

why cuz i dont feel like wasting a charge of stat C on 1 stamina wound...
once diagnosis comes out this wont be an issue...im not a mind reader...iod dont wanna sit thre and clikc all 4 stat packs to see if they have a wound and then wound how many...i especially dont wanna do that with the server lag as it is...already takes me 20 s from clicking a heal pack to the pack goes off...so i've just added 80s to my healing time and that not just if i dont have to heal a stat wound...oh the list goes on and on...
basically for me /diagnosis would kill this issue...
Most people (including many medics) don't realize that wounds heal naturally just by being in a med center. I personally never failed to heal substat wounds - because I WANTED to burn through those wound packs, in order to get more of the (expletive) crafting experience I needed.
But I'm 100% okay with anyone who doesn't want to blow a charge on light wounds. Even I did it from time to time, and I tell the patient why: "It will heal itself in a minute or two."
Concur with the point above about the attitude of patients driving the attitude of the medics -- but, having said that, there are going to be jerks in every profession including ours; we're not special in that way. I think the original poster was identifying some jerkish ways on the part of some medics.
