we have had 3 spawns now of avain on our serverwith oq and pe both stats in the high 900 mark.. most iv ever sold this for is 5cpu yeh i could sell it for ALOT more but why ? i already have more money in the bank than ineed andabout 5%of its from selling buffs of which iv stopped doing now.

You need to realize that some people only make money by hunting and selling the meat or hide. 10k avain in 1-2 hours is a very good pace. At your price that is 50k. That won't buy 1/10th of a set or armor. You could get 3-5 weapons, or maybe a half of a crate of stims.

You are also assuming that the newbie docs deserve to buy the best avain at very low prices just because they are newbies. Why shouldn't they have to work their way up like most of the master crafters on the server? I'm not saying either way is right, I'm just pointing out that there arevastely different opinions on the subject. If I started Master Doc today and bought all the best resources that every spawned for 5cpu each isn't that taking a little away from the profession? I didn't have to work hard at all and I can now produce buffs equal to those that have been around for 8+ months.

For every doc that you will sell meat to for 5 cpu there are 10 people that will buy the meat and sell it to other docs for a 2000% profit.

Just because you have more money than you will ever need doesn't mean that you will do anything for free. I could sell food for 3k a crate for BE Brandy if I wanted. I'm sure most weaponsmiths could sell for 1k a gun and be set for the next 6 months. People don't expect them to do so just because they are rich. Therefore people shouldn't expect you to sell for 5cpu either.

If you want to go ahead, but IMO people are taking advantage of you. Going back to my original example. If you made 50k from that meat, what will you do with that money? It won't affect you at all if you never had it so why not just give the avain away? Again its up to you what you sell it for, but because of how much buffs help and the difficulty of getting avain the price is on average 100cpu forgood stuff. Call it greed or whatever you want, but if docs could harvest all they needed, they would and I doubt their prices on buff packs would drop at all.

I winning 10k of 991/739 avian @ 185cpu right now.

Let's see 10k = roughly 70 sets = 7 million.

The lokian/tat may have cost something a long time ago (I have about 7,500 abec's made up already) and I'm sure I paid some $$$ or spent some time hunting herbivore.

I mined most of my class 4 myself.

A really nice guy (now guildie) GAVE me 150k of Dol (996oq) and I picked up some 900/800 oats awhile back for 25cpu I think it was.

If I win this avian I can IMMEDIATELY produce 70 sets, which I'll sell@ 100k.

Are you telling me that you wouldn't spend 2mil to make 7mil?

I don't even NEED it per say, I have right under 200k of it still (between hunting/buying when it was in spawn).

I don't NEED it, but I WANT a 5mil profit.

im on farstar, i dont have a vendor i sold it to someone who was visitingin our city who asked if i had any i could sell them and to afew people i know form UO who now play this, im also a doc incase u have not realised and what i harvest is for my own use but i dont mind helping afew people out.

i was going to post going over the other posts but frankly i lost the will to live while doing it, so im not going to bother as you still 'would'nt get it' or understand where im comming from

but i will say this, i have never said newbie should get it all easy and handed to themon a plate, neither have i said u cant make money from buying this meat at that or any otherprice, he was origonaly selling it for 80cpu again very cheap according to u lot but it has been seen forsale at well over 100cpu just not seenby me as i already stated, also pleasedont start telling me what i can earn unless u play on the same server, FYI buffs cost between 6k and 8k on average altho some people will tip more (10k)sometimes and some doc's are trying to get the price rased to 10k butthey tend to get abuse, the reson i stopped selling buffs,im lead to believe that 10k+ is the norm on other servers.

as for the some people make money by only selling what they harvest that did make me LOL as i know how much i earnt over a 10day spell where all i did was hunt kadoo, about 1.5mill and collected over 28k of avian with my 0010 scout skills.

28k of avain @150cpu = 4200000 + the 1.5mill from the missions hmm maybe i should become a resource seller afterall

Try Tempest averages of 75-100 cpu for the average stuff and 175 cpu for the good stuff.

Lets not forget that qualitymed resourcesALSO cost quite a bit. less than 10cpu is unusual, and 20-50 cpu is common. Avian isnt the only spendy thing going into a buff.

A doc only gets rich if he's willing to give up having any fun and spend hours in coronet laboriously dishing out buffs to abusive people, and living in tell hell the entire time.

My favorite part is trying to close the line when I'm done. Evenif you call the stop point so no onewaited unneccesarily, the next guy to get in line will scream and holler. Docs that avoid buff whoring are NOT rich, I assure you.
