Got a couple questions for you all:
1) Does Havla help much at all?I looked at our best chef's stuff and it was 25 heals affected.. Is this only 4 buffs? (6 for each buff)
2) Is there any cap on Wound Treatment clothing mods? Any information on the subject would be usefull... And if there is.. Is bivoli usefull too?
3) What places work best for buffing? I heard coronet is impossible for spam city, and sometimes there will be nobody in the MO
4) What kind of stats should the Med Droid be? I heard 110 med use but that seems like a bit random number..
5) For the Wound Treatment Speed, is it possible for docs to *buff*, one second pause, *buff* another attribute? Ive had this done to me before...Or is that the use of Havla?
6) Should I use a macro for it? Because whenever I get buffed by a macro doc.. it always seems like they go to the keyboard press the macro button and go away because there always seems to be a missing attribute..
7) Price range? Currently I'm on Flurry.. (seems like a small shortage of Doctors)
8) Should I try to get my hands on some disease/poison resist buffs? Or are they used little..
Any help would be much appreciated

Ref 1: I use Brandy + Biv(=25) + Be clothing + a 110 droid for best buffing. Plus if your in a Medical city you can add 10% to that. My normal buffs of 2400 + will go to 2700+ in a medical city.
Ref 2: Cap on Wound treatment is 24 (See 1 above)
Ref 3: Best place for a buff is a player city with medical. Money wise, outpost are good credit earners. I stay away from the larger cities myself.
Ref 4: Med Droid stats should be 110.
Ref 5: Never heard of anyone buffing that fast.
Ref 6: I've never used a macro buff but it's possilble. I'd rather stay at the keyboard to make sure I get paid.
Ref 7: I currently charge 15 - 20 k for my buffs 2400-2700 @ 2.5 hours. Depends on location and the mood I'm in.
Ref 8: I only use disease/poison buffs if requested. I've heard very little pros/cons on these as of yet.
Hope this helps some.

It must be havla for the speedy buffing...I have only had 1 doctor buff me that quickly, but she did it SUPER fast....there was only about 2, maybe 3 seconds between buffs. She did about 5 people in 2 minutes or so O_o I don't know how much havla runs on my server, but I was darn impressed with it myself.

As long as the havla is rated at 100+ then you can reel off a set of buffs without waiting the usual 16secs for recovery, hence why it was so fast....its doubtful that she did 5 people tho as havla only affects the following 22 heals/enhances

1) Does Havla help much at all?I looked at our best chef's stuff and it was 25 heals affected.. Is this only 4 buffs? (6 for each buff)
Yes it does...like Rolloso said, when the Havla is rated at 100 or more, it results in nearly instant buffing. It seems to be useless below 100 though. However, I tend to only get half as many heals (when done 'instantly') as the Havla is supposed to do. So when it says 24 heals, I get 12 (2 sets of buffs). Though (and I haven't properly tested this yet) I do seem to get more heals/buffs in on a Havla if I go slower. But what fun is that?
2) Is there any cap on Wound Treatment clothing mods? Any information on the subject would be usefull... And if there is.. Is bivoli usefull too?
The cap for Wound Treatment clothing is 25 (I've tried additional clothing and a +1 clothing attachment and didn't get any increase in power). Bivoli can give an additional bonus, so its DEFINATELY useful.
3) What places work best for buffing? I heard coronet is impossible for spam city, and sometimes there will be nobody in the MO
Probably depends on your server. I still do a lot of buffing in cnet, but I have a fast computer and internet connection. So I don't lag too much. But an outpost is certainly convenient for people in a solo group. Presumably a Med City would be great, but I've never gotten around to testing that. Maybe tomorrow...maybe.
4) What kind of stats should the Med Droid be? I heard 110 med use but that seems like a bit random number..
110 is the best I've seen, and I'm told that's the best there is. If you find one better, for God's sake let me know.
5) For the Wound Treatment Speed, is it possible for docs to *buff*, one second pause, *buff* another attribute? Ive had this done to me before...Or is that the use of Havla?
Yep, Havla.
6) Should I use a macro for it? Because whenever I get buffed by a macro doc.. it always seems like they go to the keyboard press the macro button and go away because there always seems to be a missing attribute..
I use a macro and rarely miss a stat. But my macro always ends with 'Did I miss any?' because it happens when things get laggy. Just make sure that if you do use a macro, set the time between buffs to at least 16 seconds. In theory you can buff at 15 seconds, but the chances of lag screwing things up is much greater.
7) Price range? Currently I'm on Flurry.. (seems like a small shortage of Doctors)
On my server, I buy buffs (that hit for about 2500+/3hrs) at 5k a set. Actually, more like 4.5k a set lately, but still 5k factoring ina couple minutes worth of Bivoli (1.5k-3k per use for 15 minutes). I charge 10k fora set when I have a line, and 12k for a set if its just for 1 buff. So my profit is about 50% of the price. I seem to be on the low end of the profit margin on my server. I see a lot of Docs charging 10-12k (with a line) for much cheaper buffs. Anyway, its hard to say what you should charge. I am often tipped extra by my regular customers because they appreciate me keeping my prices low, even when I could charge more (I play at odd hours and am often one of the only Docs around). Use your own judgement.
8) Should I try to get my hands on some disease/poison resist buffs? Or are they used little..
I have little demand for them, but there hasn't been much PvP on my server lately. At least on Valcyn, they're not a standard part of the buffing package (but then, the duration on them is so short compared to the HAM buffs that its not really worth it).
A few additional thoughts/comments:
- I can buff 5 people in about 2 minutes...but that's about the limit. As I said, on a 24 use Havla, I get 2 sets of instant buffs. Figure 12 seconds per set when its all said and done. I can take 1 Bivoli and 1 Havla and do 2 sets. Then take another HAvla and do 2 more sets. Total time,a bit less than 60seconds. Then I'm too full for more Havla (though by the time the Bivoli runs out I can take another one to continue buffing at max power). So 5 sets in about 2 minutes is doable...briefly.
- Are you a Master Swordsman? I'm not sure you're allowed to be a Doc if you're not a swordsman. I did see a Master Doc/Master Rifleman once...but he got better.
- Another note on Bivoli....the % always seem to round down. So a 24.8 Bivoli isn't any more poweful than a 24.4 Bivoli. 25% seems to be the max on that.
- The Formula for buffing power....
(Base Power on buff + (Base power on buff x (Wound Treatment skill + Clothing Mod +Bivoli)) x Droid Med Rating)
so for example...(I'll use my Health buff and my mods as examples. Base power is 916, 100 Wound treatment, +25 Clothing, +25 Bivoli, with a 110 Med Droid)
(916 + (916 x (1.00 + .25 + .25)) x 1.10) ----> 2519 Total Power (a quicky formula for me is Buff Power x 2.75, though that only works with maxed everything)
Presumably you can get that higher in a Med City, but I couldn't say for certain. But if it works as people claim, it should hit for 2771.
Anyway, hopefully that helps answer some of your questions.

3) What places work best for buffing? I heard coronet is impossible for spam city, and sometimes there will be nobody in the MO make a seperate window for system messages and buff in coro. this lets you see your buffs and tips
4) What kind of stats should the Med Droid be? I heard 110 med use but that seems like a bit random number.. 110 is tha cap on droids. very easy to come by

8) Should I try to get my hands on some disease/poison resist buffs? Or are they used little..they are very nice. too bad they dont' last longer

Hi everyone, I'm new to doctoring.. and forgive me if this is mentioned in a sticky (it's late and I'm going to bed in about 2 minutes, no time to look =) and besides, someone probably knows).
I'm just wondering how I can improve the potency of my buffs,
Master Doc
+25 wound/injury clothing
+24.something bivolli
912 strength buff packs (purchased)
This equates into 2484 buffs (2566 action) 3.4 hrs - pretty darn good if I do say so myself, but I'm just wondering if there's something else I can be doing to make my buffs stronger, as I'm not familiar with the maximum stats on items...
for example, how much better does bivolli get? how much higher base can buff packs be? etc.
is there other food/drink I can consume to make them stronger?
Thanks in advance for any tips you can throw my way.

Well the medical rating of the droid you are using could help the buffs. The best droid medical module rating is 110 I believe and you can always buff in a city that offers a bonus to healing to improve them. Other than that you seem to be doing pretty well for yourself.

Given those stats, I would venture to guess that your Bivoli is weaker than you said... something like +22.7% to get +2484 buffs with a 110 droid/+25 clothing. Get Bivoli with at least +25... anything more than that doesn't matter. You will buff for 2508 with that. Other than that, you can hop into a medical city and buff there... I'm not sure the bonus, I think it's +25, which makes for +2758 buffs with your packs... if it's only +10 in the city, that's still +2608.
In any case, you have just about reached your buffing potential.
