I buff pretty regularly. Guildmates are buffed at no charge, the public gets a 2300, 3 hour buff for 10k. I also use macros to reply to peoples questions. But why I'm posting is thecomments about breaking sets and buffing one attribute. I'veseen some Docs refuse to do this. I guess I don't understand why. I know that people are going to ask for single attributes, so I keep a set of buffs that I know will broken into uneven sets. I have two rows on my toolbar, complete sets on one row and the packs I will break unevenly on another. No worries, everyoneis happy.

Oh GOD I hate that!! YES!! That tell bugs the ever-lovin CR*P outta me! It's like... at times I almost MISS the randomness! I mean sure, it meant I had to put up with the occasional lousy buff, but at LEAST I didn't have to put up with these awful "How good are your buffs?" questions. I don't know why, but to me it just seems presumptious and pushy in the first place. I'm thinking "OK, we're on Dantooine, there are NO other Doctors here, I'm you're ONLY hope of getting buffed.... what do you CARE what level my buffs are at?!" I got so fed up with it one day... I'm in the middle of buffing... this guy charges up and says "Moebius".... I was too busy to answer at first... so again he says just "Moebius". So I reach a lull, and I answer "Yes?" Naturally... what do you think he asks? "How good and how long?" So I'm pushed to my edge and answer "GAWD I'm sick of that question!"... He muttered some garbage about customer service and left... but at that point I really didn't care.

Glad to see I'm not the ONLY person who's a little irked by that question! Honestly I'm almost to the point of refusing to buff anyone who asks it.... eventually they will learn.

I learned this the hard way with an armorsmith.
I was toying with the idea of making a more playable character on a new server. I figured I'd master weaponsmith and armorsmith, get filthy rich and then start enjoying the combat professions with a surplus of gear and money.
So, I carefully ground up artisan, which is no fun when you have 0 cash and have to harvest all your own materials. I worked up to Master, then started working up Armorsmith. In celebration, I put my novice armorsmith tag up.

13:25:22 Obtained Novice Artisan.
13:25:51 Spaz tells you: wut is the best comp you make and how much it cost?

I ended up floating back to my combat prof character on Scylla, mastered doctor with him. After dropping it and moving on to bigger and better things, I still get the odd desperate tell from people who've read my bio, seen the master doctor badge, and take a stab at getting buffs.

If you've got the time to be explaining patiently, then I guess do. But if you have enough business from consumers with a pulse, tell the 'wut price again' crowd to take a hike, there'll be some other doctor who'll take their money.

I have all this info in a /say macro and a /reply macro. I usually get a laugh when someone is standing next to me asking about my buffs, when I've used the /say macro to tell everyone. My macro includes power, duration, price, full sets only, no bank tips, and please wait your turn.

u dont have to type /tell xxxxxxxxxxx the reply, all u need to do is /r type the reply here or ctrl+r then type the reply but a /reply macro is much easier

Typing out the replydoesn't work when you get 5 more tells before you can even finish typing your first reply.

I tell them the info when they askand then when it's their turn I always "/tell You're up next, that'll be 8k please." and then wait for the cash before starting to buff.
