this happens everyday, im doin my regular buffing run (in cnet

) and of course i get tells varying with

"Can you buff my quickness?"

"Are you buffing?"

"Can i get a con buff?"

"how much are the buffs?"

"can i get in line?"

and the dreaded

"how good are your buffs, how long, and how much?"

I HATE THAT TELL

when you are getting bombarded with tells you have to type /tell <random name here> the stuff, so when people do that i normally answer with "2400+ and last 3 hours, and 10k" and they say ok add me to line, and when it's there turn they ask me how much again!?!?

has this ever happened to you? do you hate it?

It got old after the 10th time. Thast when I made a macro that gave all the info and started with [ /r ]. Never looked back.

yep i made a macro saying how much, not to banktip me unless i said they could, how powerful and how long they last like most doc have but some started to give me greff cos they could not bank tip me and i had 'rules' of payment my new macro says somehting along the lines of - because of constant moaning and a basic lack of manners i have now stopped selling buff to people, unless you wish to offer me stupid amounts of money, btw 10k - 15k is not a stupid amount of money

im told on some servers that you can make about 150k in 15mins selling buffs not sure if this is true or not but you cant make that type of cash on my server thats for sure, on my server i can make much more money by getting into a big solo hunt group, buffing my self and fighting for 2-3 hours (600k + not inc loot or harvested stuff) + with loot drops and harvesting meat with i sell very cheap on the bazaar, maybe you can on yours

u dont have to type /tell xxxxxxxxxxx the reply, all u need to do is /r type the reply here or ctrl+r then type the reply but a /reply macro is much easier

its not like this is only with docs, its with every craft master profession

i mastered tailor, week ago, and every day i get tells (and pretty much all the time):

"Can you make me this", "can u make me that"

"Can u make me factory runs with syntethic cloth" <-- very popular

which is also annoying btw, is when u have newbiehelper on your tag and you cant help some1, and then they tell you: F** you get on with your busy life, and u call yourself a helper" which happened yesterday

but i dont want to make this a complaining thread so my advice:

just put an afk message with the info of buffpacks and problem solved

I agree.........I have put the info into afk message so I do not even have to reply........ctrl o is where you can find the area to change your afk message. I include price, stats, do not pretip, if you're interested please sit down and you'll be grouped. I group ppl so that I know who's next for buff. I've found it works like a charm. You can also change it if you're not doing buffs to say I'm sorry I'm not currently buffing, thank you.

1. 10k isn't a lot of money

2. It gets annoying when you're running a macro explaining everything and people expect you to baby them and specifically hold their hand through the process instead of paying attention and getting their answers by being aware of what's going on around them.

And yes, it's fine if a very new person requests some information but if everyone decided to not pay attention to our spatial spams and macros advertising prices, power, and duration then we'd never get anything done. It just gets real old real quick.

Lemme get this straight. You're complaining about telling people what they're gonna get for paying you 10k(!) credits? Last time I checked thats still a pretty good amount of money and If i'm gonna be handing it over to someone I think i have the right to know what i'm getting. If someone doesn't ask you how much its gonna be or what they're getting then how else are they going to know? I think the originall post was more of an attempt to start conversation. I do agree with you though. The customer should be asking what they are getting and if you have a serious problem with giving that to them then perhaps you should not be a doctor. There are FAR more frustrating things that happen in this prof.

it is the fact that i spam with the duration, strength, and price, and yet i still get tells ASKING the same thing i am humbly telling every 30 seconds, also i get the non-tell requests, and the requests where they dont even know where i am (who told em DARNET WHO TOLD EM?) it gets quite annoying with people wanting only 1 attribute (not to make you entertainers look bad..) but most docs use the same charge buffpacks (around 20-25) and plan out that if they sell 20 buffs at 10k each they will get 200k..but if you only have 14 quickness and 20 of everything else, then you got a problem, and i guess the /r macro would work, but how do you get it to only /r once? Also, as a hunter i dont enjoy when im off doing my buisness (hunting quenkers) and i get tells for buffs, how do they find you?
