That's correct. Combat medics can use both normal stims and ranged stims to heal people. The difference is that ranged stims .. well .. are ranged.
For the person that said they don't notice any more range as they progress up the combat medic tree .. well the range isn't anything dramatic like I thought it would be. I was thinking full radar range when I first started Combat Medic. Boy was I wrong .. I couldn't believe I had to be within 20 meters of the person. I was disappointed until I started training up the Ranged Combat Healing line and making better stims (which have better range).
By the time you get to the third level of Ranged Combat Healing you should have gained about 7 meters on a Range 20 Stim pack .. making it so you can heal up to 27 meters away. Many people think its not worth the skill credits to buy 2 or 3 more meters, but when you get to supporting a group of 10 or more people on your own, you'll love every bit of range you can get. ![]()
