Doctor Archive

I've had my MD tag up for awhile now and nobody ever asks me to heal wounds. At least people have learned to tip. Most the doctors are on planets like Dantoonie or where groups are forming for xp.

Yeah you hear the group looking for healer spam now but when they say healer they are looking for a jedi 99.9% of the time

the only time I use my doc:

I spam heal myself since the hate list is screwed and no matter what my group/guildmates do, they can't pull the mob off of me..... im now a tank in padded armor.... lovely... /sarcasm off

Esrina is completely correct in this. People are going around saying docs should not charge for buffs or wound healing since we can do it at no cost other than our time, we should do it as a service. Okay, if thats the case then why would any doc ever sit down at a starport or in a town and just buff or heal people? If docs aren't doing that then they are out having their own fun in the game. If docs are out there having fun, what is the incentive for a doctor to just drop what they are doing and help a complete stranger for nothing whether it be some guy wanting you to get out of combat right now to give him some free buffs or go across the galaxy to rez someone? If people aren't going to tip/pay us and half the people out there aren't even grateful and don't say thanks, then I say they can sit their ass in the med center for 5 days and let their wounds heal on their own. To be fair, there are very nice and very generous people out there who treat doctors well, however those people are way too few and far between.

I find these threads ironic.

Before the CU nerf I was a perfectly happy crafting doc. Once the CU was announced, the battle lines were drawn in the forums between the "greedy docs who are only in it for the money by buffing and crafting" and the true doctors who are in it for the healing...

Now the CU is live, and we crafting docs, no longer allowed to play in any doctor reindeer games, are either reluctant healers or "dabbler" docs as we had to give up our MD in order to pick up the scout line for 0004 BE...

However all is well because thedoctor profession has been cleansed of the money grubbers, and the healing can begin!

Except now, nearly NONE of the true doctors (the healers) are available because...(this is rich)...they're not getting paid?!?!?!

Who are the "greedy" ones now?

(I'm not flaming anyone because I happen to believe time is money and you should be able to earn a cred just like the next guy, so charge whatever you see fit. One can't deny the irony however...)

you mean you went to the emergency room and all the docs were out on the streets healing people, instead of leaving that job to the medics?I dont know what to say.....

I've made a post on the General Game Discussion Forum about this issue. If you are a doc and would like for us to get medical xp for healing in a med center, or if you are a player that would like to see med centers used by docs again, please voice your support there. Hopefully with the voices unified the devs will listen, as they have with other issues.
