I only made Poison resist C packs

Results
Pack 1: Poison resist 144, Duration 3626, Absorption 3
Pack 2: Poison resist 175, Duration 3259, Absorption 3
Pack 3: Poison resist 144, Duration 3069, Absorption 9

Mediocre resources on most of it.

Still not sure what absorption does...

These additional packs for Doctor are not anti-Combat Medic. There are mobs in this game that actually cause poison and disease.

The title of the thread should have been New 9.3 Patch Doctor Packs results.

But being anti-CM it seems is the constant FOTM.

Just completed some absorption testing.

Crafting a 5 absorption enhance C and a 19 absorption enhance C (I suspect you can get absorption up to around 25 with perfect resources).

It's very clear that absorption is a straight percentage damage reducer. So that gives you three choices when experimenting these - longer duration, lower damage when you do get poisoned, or minimize the chance of getting poisoned.

5 absorption turned a 462 tick poison into a 438 tick poison

5 absorption turned a 644 tick poison into a 611 tick poison

5 absorption turned a 462/644 tick stack into a 1149 tick stack

19 absorption turned a 462 tick poison into a 374 tick poison

is it true that theres a max resist of 95? so as far as resist go we shouldnt even go higher than 95 and wastes exp points?

No. The max resist is 95%, the efficiency/resist is measured against the potency/efficiency (maybe wrong words) of the poison, and then a per cent resist is calculated, which will always be between 5% and 95%.

So, if you have a 95 efficiency resist buff, and someone hits you with a 300 efficiency disease, you're probably screwed...

Not quite. The resist stat can go as high as you like. It all makes a difference against a good combat medic (assuming you are using these in PvP). What is true is that no matter how low the potency on the poison and how high the resist is on the enhance, there is always a 5% chance of the poison landing. Likewise, no matter how high the potency, there is always at least a 5% chance of the poison getting resisted.

So, at some point, extra resist on the enahnce might put you over that 5% limit and be wasted. In practice against combat medic who have decent poisons, the extra resists will matter. Our testing of high resist enhance packs vs high potency poisons indicates aresist rate of between 60% and 80%. So no one is getting 95% resists against all poisons yet.

I noticed when I made some B's and C's, they came out with identical results minus the absorption feature in C's. What difference are the B's and C's when I can just use any decent quality resource for the B's when the resources for C's are a bit more of a headache to collect.

EDIT: ah nevermind, noticed the explanation about absorption, fairly useful in PVP it seems, B's should benefit for places like Dath and Yavin.

These are multiplied by the docs wound treatment, I was able to cure 960 tick poisons and 672 tick diseases in one area heal. MY CM is so nerfed, glad I'm a Doc too.

On a side note I was able to craft poisons/diseases that stuck with resist C packs 60-75% of the time. We do have crappy resources on Starsider but the packs were 170-185 effective I believe. This if course will be where the area cures come in.

Why is everyone saying CM's are nerfed? CM was meant to be a support class over a offence class... that is they're there to heal.

Anyway in big battles everyone tends to spread so i'm sure poisons are gonna be still usefull, but now they are not the defining factor anymore. Seriously, i would rather see a huge, long pvp fight, than what we see now... a 1hr to organise a big faction pvp fight that ends in a matter of two minutes.
