why is mind such a big deal? yes pet stims are like damage packs and heal it with just a credit/resource requirement to make, no required skill to use, but... any pet from a master ch can have the trick1/trick2 command with heals mind(at a slight cost to action/mind of the pet owner) so really, its no big deal

yes i understand the need to heal mind on things, but complaining about pet stims seems a far cry from the problem to me

heres my take on it:

doctors/cm's/everyone wants a mind heal to EXIST in the game USEABLE on players that is of enough value to heal at least HALF a mind bar for a wookie doctor maxed in mind(at its highest obvoiously, not a novice level of said profession)

to get something like that, i seriously doubt you want to waste time on what is effectively a non issue becuase it heals mind, but instead, focus more energy on getting a mind heal back in the game(either how it was in beta, or some new system, who cares, it needs to exist)

in all honesty, i really doubt a mind using class will recieve it, that would be like rifleman getting self mind healing powers.but who knows.. i wouldnt *mind* it at all<g>

now, tell me where i can hit the rollback harvest value button so i can feed my doctor organics again

I already have changed the wording and added the cert idea on my personal copy. (I usually make updates and stuff for a week or so, or at least until I have some significant enough changes, before putting an updated list for comment.)

The Mind thing, not a biggie for a CH, BUT for a non-CH it is possible for anyone to now own a non-aggresive (and more powerful than a top-end probot) CL 15 pet which has not been trained with the trick command to have an alternate way to heal a pets mind.

It should be noted that even in the CH's case the stims can be used in combat, whereas a trick cannot be performed unless the handler and the pet are peaced out.

If a heal were available for mind damage, there would never have been a need for the WAY overpowered (IMHO) mind insta-heal that Trick does.So it is still an issue, if you ask me. So a party's primary tank is now virtually required to be a pet (no TKA can Tank like that and you sure can't heal their mind with "/sayplay".

Ok, I can see what you mean there. I do believe the reason CHs were given a way to heal their pets mind is because of the fact there was no way for a medic to heal mind and there was no way to get them to watch an entertainer.

And that is really the heart of the matter, it isnt that *CHs* can do it...it is that we cannot. A doctor should be able to heal any type of damage being done to the players.

The only thing I do not agree with you on is that because pets can have their mind healed they are the tanks and not Melee players.

No meleer should be able to stand toe-to-toe with a Kimo even if their mind can be healed

Well, even that point is rather debatable because of a screw up in the design. Remember a while back the Devs were seriously considering nerfing the BEST pet down to have only the best stats that a buffed player could have. So a full Rancor would only have, say 4k HAMS. everything else would be scaled down based on that. The idea being that the Devs stated they didn't want pets, originally, to be able to replace a player a player as a tank, just maybe act as a substitute. Too much stink about that and especially since it would be a HUGE nerf since they screwed up by allowing it to be the way that it is in the first place.
