Thanks bulg for the positive comment and well...not threatening to set me on fire or something. I see your points to and I agree, if it I need them that instant or I am going to miss a massive guild hunt or I need to do some high level tanking then yes I would pay the money. *smiles sheepishly* I do not have to worry about this though as I can buff myself . Bulg if you ever play on Bria or Chilastra send me a tell man would love to send a free buff your way .

PS, By the way free buff day is set on Tuesday at 10pm EST in CNET on Chilastra. I figured anytime past Wed and most people are traveling for Thanksgiving and that weekend probably going to be will relative (I know I will). So eat lots of turkey and enjoy !!!!!!

As fellow Bria'n and Med Supplier I just think its about the quality +900er buffs getting pretty rare on Bria, so thas why they go up in price, for the usual 2.3k buffs 15k is ok. But not many hunters get us meat nowadays.. so that will keep the prices up. Nobody buys cheap 2.1k Buffs I found out..., which you could use to buff for 10k again.

The Solo group revamp haven't done a thing as to changing buff prices.

Why would the revamp affect buff prices??

If from now on all the missions would give 40k+ payout it would affect economy and buffs but this revamp doesn't do squat for docs.

Haven't done a thing yet.

I really do believe this will have an effect in buff prices eventually. And not only in buff prices, but on all prices. Nerfing the most important source of income to most players (and don't get me wrong, Im just stating a fact, personally I was never a fan of solo grouping) will cause a seriousimpact in the economy eventually. But it's a gradual thing.

I sell my 2330, 3hr 20 min buffs for 8k. I don't craft so I'm realiant upon other doctors. If I come across higher power buffs, I will change my price. For me the price range is such:

2300-2400 8k

2400-2500 9k

2500+ 10k

There is no need for gouging. Even with bivoli my cost per buffwon't be 3k.I spend 600k and can make 1.4 mil. That's at 8k per buff.

Hey Jirob! So glad you decided to give an opinion on the subject. FYI for all those that aren't part of the Bria Galaxy. Jirob here is one of the best known buff suppliers in our galaxy. I have known him since the beginning of my time as a master doc and he has kept his prices constant and also the quiality (I think the lowest power Ive seen from him is 880, am I right). I am glad to hear from a supplier because I do think buff prices affect that part of the commercial chain also. So the main problem is Avian meat, correct? Does anyone think that avian prices will rise/lower after the revamp? I mean, hunter income from mission completion reward may go down, does it mean that they will raise the CPU on avian to compensate?

I think prices will lower. But actually before the combat balance. in my opinion it will start to lower within this next couple of weeks that they nerfed the solo groups. Main souce of income to fighting playershas become either looting (which depends basically on luck, so it can't really be considered a reliable source) and harvesting organics for Docs, Chefs and Armorsmiths.

Crafters will be able to offer less for the meat/hide/bone etc. that they need and will still get a great response from hunters. (Since getting 30k every 15 min doing Janta/Mokk missions is not a possibility anymore). But then in our turn, crafters will have to lower their prices in their crafted goods, since the economy wouldn't probably stand the current high prices for basically all crafted items.

It's an adapting process. Will take some time to happen. But I really don't see hunters asking for more credits to hunt (more than 150-400 cpu for avian? Their reasoning for saying that was that they could make a lot more credits with the solo group missions, but that's over now).

It is also important to note that hunters NEVER set the price of avian meat. They are simply harvesting what the doctors desire. We crafting doctors set our offer prices in order to attract hunters to hunt for us.

The dedicated hunters will hunt for you as long as you are offering a decent price (I used to be able to get people I regularly play with to hunt avian meat for me at 75cpu - half the then market rate). To really get the meat rolling in, you need to appeal to the masses. It can take a lot to convince more than a dozen people to hunt Song Rasps on Talus (I just tried).

With the solo group nerf cutting the inflow of cash into the economy, hunting for creature harvestable resources may become a viable trade again. If that is the case, perhaps doctors will not have to offer the premiums that they have been in the past.

It may just be a glitch, but solo groups on Kettemoor server haven't been nerfed. People in my town (A player city on Dantooine) are still getting their proper solo pay-outs.

On the Doc subject. I sell my +2281/3hr.45min. buffs for 9k and haven't had a problem. I still make almost 6k per buff. I don't think my prices would change even if the buffs I buy went up by 150%. I'd still be making 4.5k a buff and that's a heck of a lot better than I can do on missions as i'm not an elite combat profession yet. My bank account hovered around 50k constantly until I started buffing and now it's typical to be around 200k (I spend a lot ). The only way I would charge more for my non-master buffs is if i saw master's charging in the 15k range. Master Doc buffs on my server go for 10-12k right now.

It seems now with new good avian spawn, lot of people hunt avian again, due to solo nerf.... sono higher prices... I'm pushing out +900er packs again and eventually lower prices again. prices went up, due to some big crafting docs leave on bria.

Cheers

There is no set buff price on any server anywhere except in your head. You and only you determine how much you want to offer your buffs for to the public. That price can be as low as 2k or as high as 100k+.

In the competition to get business you're going to either have to balance out or lower your prices to attach customers from other doctors. Time of day, doctor availability, and convenience all play into that. On kettemoor my prices might be as low as 8k but at times when there is no one around they might be as high as 15k.

The solo group nerf is only going to affect you if you let it. People still can't do anything other than fight meatlumps unless they are buffed and they HAVE TO pay the price you set unless another doctor under bids you or you get suckered into lowering what you thought was a decent price. Missions still pay out 7-12k and Imperials still have the option of sologrouping with an AT-ST to get the old 30k missions.

If any CH was smart enough he/she would form their own solo groups with their huge pets. Then charge a small price (2k each time) to group with them so you can get your two 30k missions then disband so you get the full price. 2k out of 60k isn't that much.

This might be off topic a bit but this is kind of an old post anyway.

So, if 2 people are grouped with enough pets to get the Janta missions, wouldn't the payout scale back to that of one person once they disband. I thought that was how the new system worked. In other words I think the payout would be cut in half.
