I agree. The TEF should be visible to other faction members.

Regardless of this, I still think it is cowardly and borderline griefing to run into a hospital and PK ppl, especially the Medics/Doctors/Combat Medics...

If there is ever a GUI that pops up asking you if you want to heal or not because your patient has a TEF, there definitely needs to be a way to disable that. While I am all for it, I don't want to be in battle and try to heal someone that has a TEF. This will just delay the speed that I can heal them. I know it will only happen the first time I do it, but all the same there should be a feature to disable it.

I'm all for TEFs for healing faction-aligned players, provided that guilds also become aligned.

This works both ways, but here's my basic gripe. I'm a Rebel player. I've seen largely Imp-aligned guilds that contain one or more Rebel players whose sole purpose is to TEF other injured Rebels. If you're a covert Rebel, healing yourself in a med center, nothing is as infuriating as having a Rebel player run in, heal you to incur a TEF, then point you out while his/her Imp buddies gun you down.

There are several supposedly "neutral" guilds who contain both Imp and Rebel players that use this tactic indiscriminately (PIMP comes to mind...) when aiding other, obviously faction-aligned guilds.

As we all know that guilds will never be faction-aligned, an alternative would beto require player permission for heals (with the ability to "auto-allow" for certain players - perhaps a more constructive use of the Friends list...?)

heh just don't heal overt people

med center should be a hard target to hit because only 4 entrances and such a small combat areaif anyone causes trouble in the med center they should be real easy to kill

i mean doesn't everyone complain of all tkm's are doctors a tkm/doc with buffs should be more than enough to defend a med center in close quarters combat

stop whining

Errr, aint most of this thread about making med centers None combat zones? I thought that since the last patch, anyone with a TEF cant enter ANY building? So the issue of making Med centers none combat zones is irrelevent.

Im thinking this sort of thing is simlair to getting killed while loading because your overt. This is going to be changed after the patch (or so I read in the patch notes). Maybe the answer is that if you dont have a TEF and can enter the med center, if you overt you are asked (or automattically) go tocovert before you can enter. Any fighting that takes place within the center will simply kick them out into the open where they can play as much as they like, at least Neutral docs dont get a TEF they didn't want.

As far as camps go, IMO is fair game. Thefriend of my enemy is my enemy sort thing.

I care little about being given a TEF when healing a faction. What I do care about is that I can't tell if someone is overt or has a TEF and I heal that person and get it myself. I should be able to examine that person or diagnose him and see if he is overt or TEF then decide to heal I cant tell you how many times I have been in a PC cantina and someone comes in with wounds and injury or needs a buff and as soon as I stick them with my trusty needle I get booted outside due to the TEF.

Overts are purple named and have the faction sysmbol over their heads.. Coverts are purple named but have no faction symbol.

Opposite overts have blue name + symbol... unless you have a TEF, then they are shooting you.

Again, ask you patient if they have a TEF, or to tell you when it wears off.

Better safe then sorry.

I still believe it's an oversight that there's no warning or indicator that you're about to be given a TEF in any situation (trade, heal..). However, this would not be in my top 10. I also don't see it as a Doctor issue.

Make any type of building a no-combat zone and that's where you'll start to find all the combatants.
