Just remembered...yesterday and today when I buffed the affected stats. The first time I double clicked on the buff nothing happened. So I double clicked again and got the buff. I always assumed it was server lag.

Perhaps the problem is that the first buff attemptthat never happened started the buff timer. The second buff that did take doubled the timer effectively making the timer for 4 hours (est)instead of 2 hours (est)?

Death erases all the buff timers right? So that would be why it does fix the bug.

That's an interesting theory about the double click on the buffs, Knocky. That could be it. It was a bit laggy.

As for logging taking away buffs, Whenever I log all of my pets lose their bufss(and the timers reset), but Ican't remember the last time I lost my buffs.

An example: I buff myself and all three pets for missions. Five minutes later the Girlfriend calls for dinner. Store pets, logoff. Eat dinner. Re-log in one hour to find I still have my buffs, and timer has been running. Pull out pets, re-buff them. Go kill stuff.

Am I supposed to lose the buffs?

i don't think it is the same bug as what is on our issues list. I could buff him before just fine. It was the second set that threw everything off.

Keep the replies coming!! It only happens to me a few times each week or two, so I'm betting a lot of Doc's haven't seen the problem yet.

Wow, someone who isn't losing buffs on logoff? I get lots of reports from folks who do, so either it's an intermittent thing, or it's actually a different problem.

So yeah, let's hear of more stories where buffs were lost and the timer didn;t drop and see if there is any way we can find some commonality here. What was the situation surrounding your losing of the buff?

Many times I run into what I call the "LD buff." Remember the problem where if you died while buffed you had to wait out the duration of the buff before you could rebuff? Same thing only instead of dieing an LD is substituted. The result is that you lose your buffs and end up waiting hours until you can rebuff. Happens all the time, especially on the weekends.

I dont lose buffs when loggin off Zarlor. WasI supposed too?

have none of you figured it out yet?

if you or any other player crashes while you are buffed when you log back in the buffs will be gone but the timer on the buffs will still be on your character

the only way to fix this is to die or wait the entire duration of the buffs.......usually if i get a customer doing this i offer to kill then rez them hehehe

added fun for me and the customer gets their buffs

Supposed to? Heck no. But it appears to be a reintroduced bug that seems to happen in certain circumstances.

If the situatoin is during a crash (and that hasn't always been true for me since I've gotten back into the game after crashes and had my buffs still up more than a few times) then that might narrow it down some.

At any rate we seem to be having the problem every now and then.

Buffed 45 minutes before server went down. Logged out 15 minutes before server went down.

Now 3 hours late, no buffes yettheserver claims I ambuffed so of course I am screwed for who knows how long or I suicide.

I think I will choose suicide. Time to go get ganked by a base full of Rebel Scum.

Something similar happened to me. My buffs wore off naturally and yet I can't rebuff myself. I did go linkdead earlier in the evening while I was buffed.

It's now 2 hours after my buffs lapsed and I'm still unable to buff myself.

Might also have something to do with the TKA powerboost command. I'm a matser TKA and my buddy was trying to buff me, but kept getting the 'can't buff them anymore' message. As a TKA, I never used buffs, and nothing was showing up on the character sheet. I do use powerboost religiously though.
I'm going doctor now though for the great buffs and the RP aspect of a real martial artist being able to heal as well as harm.

I'm surprised there are people that retain their buffs when they log off. I know if someone logs off for 30 seconds and back on, they keep them so I don't mean that. But I have 2 chars I play and when I log off my buffed self to get on my other char, then come back, my buffs are gone but the timer is still going.

I would guesstimate that if i'm logged off for more than 5 minutes or so, this always happens.
