PSGs are buggy at the moment, they do not always kick in, but when they do they reduce the damage before it hits the armour, so it is in effect having two sets of armour.
Note the PSG will wear out very, very, very fast.
The ones i used dont last ten minutes of constant fighting, but the damage they protect is worth it at higher levels when money isnt an issue.
I melee with armour on. The special ham cost is marginal when buffed.
