Here we go...supply and demand.

Well the demand is certainly there. We HAVE TO have Herbivore and Avian meats. We HAVE TO have good quality of these meats to make it worth it. Those that do supply this, know this. They know that there are those of us (not me...on my way to TKM w/ N. Scout) that can not kill the big stuff or that can notharvest it due to Skill pts. So they bump the prices because they know that there are those of us that will pay for it.

To help suppliment on a recent good shift on Corellia Herb (valcyn server) I walked out the gate from Coronet and approached a few novice whatevers that were killing the lil Durnis that spawn out there. I offered them a full MD Buff and 3 cpu, (3 cpu for the herb and 2 cpu for any other meats) for any meat they harvested and brought to me. I suggested they grab a few missions for the cute lil bunnies and if they for some reason died... for them to send me a tell (I was hunting bigger herb creatures in the area) and give me the coords to where they were and i would come out and rez them... This in conjunction with what I harvested brought me well over 10k of this awesome meat. Now this might not work for everyone. But to cover the price of paying these few hunters I sold 2 full buff sets to some of the hard core guys (12k) and still wound up with not only a good amount of meat but a small profit off the buffs.

I supply for myself as much as possible. But the hologrinders are making it difficult to find good sized bundles of meats for all of us. Or any other resources for that matter. No one is worried about providing good quality for a decent price, when they can sell total crap in grind sized bundles for loads of cash. The holo is killing this "player driven" economy. And turning this game into more of a mindless vacuum. Check out you server boards. If it is anything like Valcyn...you will see alot of goodbye posts from the players that started in this game upon release.

ah THAT auction...i'd really dont know; i'd have thought those bidders were new doctors (maybe holo-docs even who wants to make some meds before dropping) but some are actually old timers too...

do they even readthe resource network thread? the resources currently allow the production 14/19 ABECs and there is very good class 4 and herbie too...in fact i'm now running a batch of 455/38 stims B and for those, the consumers will bear the high cost of the meats.

Eclipse is just as bad, or worse, as the others listed here. Blame all those Hologrinders.

A feew doctors and myself have a sort of contact list, when something spawns and its super great we get in contact with eachother. If we have a WP we send that as well. As for animal resources I find out what is good and where and ask my PA to get it for me. Last week I got 30k herb meat. Take advantage of your friends, they'll do what they can to help keep themselves healthy.

(First off - I am in a "flip" mood - and I am not trying to be mean or rude - though I often come off that way - my comments are directed at the original poster - just the subject in general)

If I am reading this right...Ifeel like this - Woo hoo!! Go Doctors Go... Drive them freak'en prices up.. better yet... come to Wanderhome and do it there too!! Alright.. enough joy there for a morning... some doc's are buying and selling stuff for more than other docs are.. I think this is what you are saying in a "nut shell".

Honestly I think this is good. 25cpu is not a high price. Plus I wouldn't ever pay that for herbavoire - only avian - but if some other doctor does then that's their "deal". Scouts need to eat too - plus it is a serious pain in the arse to harvest birds - and herbavoire missions usually don't pay out as much as the carnovoire (auto reb con) missions.

If this in turn raises the price of meds on the market, that's great too. Market for medsis often undervalued by "I wanna give cheap meds to the world type doctors" - which is also fine.Heck I havenovice scout, I have buffed my petand gone gathering meat for two - three days -with nothing more than maybe 2k of resources to show for it after(talus). I then realized "Hey20-25 cpu isn't too bad after all".I sometimes payscoutsMORE than their asking price becuase I am ALWAYS in need of good hunters and this gives them incentive to hunt for me.

The only problem is that it doesn;t raise the price of meds. We all know most folks don;t get paid for healing services, other than buffs. Even then only a few are raising their buffing prices and few are raising the price of Stim Bs. So those who can afford that much for resources are paying it, usually to grind with, but otherwise don't seem to be worried or affected by the going rate on meds. They can and will pay the price no matter what the cost to the economy where other Docs are involved.

Well I guess you might be on to somethingthereZalor butIMO doctor's can be LOADED if they want to be. Our profession is it's worst enemy - We don't get paid for healing because we don't charge for it. Wesupport the holo doctor grind because we train these "special" people and don't charge them for it. We support the flood of low priced stims because we will create "kick ass" schematics for artisans andload them into their factories. Some docsfeel that theirmargins are being reduced by increased reasource prices, yet are unwilling topass these cost increases on to their customers - huh???.

One commenton the low priced stimthing - Atmy old shop location there were several other medical shops. Yet very few were actually restocked regularily, some IMO never had any medical stock on them beacause everytime I would go check they would be empty (but the weapon and BEvendors were always stocked).I would havepeople complain about myprices only toget a gmail telling me that theyreturned 2 hours later after they must have realized that Tatooine on Wanderhome was pretty much dry of stims. My view of selling medsis that I would rather be known for being stocked with a wide variety of "decent" productthan selling it for the lowest price yethaving nothing to offer my customers. (Honestly there is nothing more frustrating forme than spending an hour or two travelling around to6 power or resource vendors who claim to have good pricesonly to look at another @#@@#! empty vendor.)

If a player enjoys selling stims for cut rate prices and that's how they enjoy the game - then more the power to them. Personally I have more interesting things to do with my time than tend to my factories and vendors all day because they are selling out each night. Suremaybe these other doc's will take over the market for a while. If theyareselling product for "dirt cheap" then IMO 1) they are not worth my energy even worrying about them and/or 2) they will burn out trying to keep up with demand.

I pay 50 +cpufor Good Avian meat and im thinking about paying more. If you do not pay well on Radiant then you will not get the good stuf.

At one point I was running 3 shops and selling to a merchant stocking another 4 shops. I was working my ASS off. I couldn't do anything but make stims and wound packs. When I moved to a player city I closed up all my shops but the one in the city and gave up the deal with the merchant.

I did have my vendor listed on the Planetary map but I took it off. I AM the town doctor. It IS my job to make sure they have what they need. I had one guy coming in and emptying my vendor only to resell to players in his PA. No, no thank you. You go find another Doctor to use because I do not have the time nor resources to keep your PA AND my city supplied. It's one thing to make an order, it's another to come and empty my vendor 10 minutes after I load it.

on kauri in the blood mall i can buy meat for about 2cpu and sometimes under... but thats just the blood mall... other places it tends to go about 15-30 cpu
