Thread: Doctors driving prices up, do you have the same problem?

Recently onmy serverthere have been 2 or 3 doctors buying supplies at totally insane prices... Meat was at 15 cpu a couple months ago and they now offer 25 cpu, resources go for 20+ cpu and someone even bought some average components at 20 cpu!

As a result, they increase their prices a lot (I mean with components at 20 cpu it's not even worse selling stims at 3k!), and most doctors can't even compete with them if they need decent resources... We can't say we have had a lot of very good resources on sunrunner but still.

How is it on other servers? Have resources increased in price so much as well in the last couple weeks? How do the doctors who don't want to spend millions nor charge millions for their stims do?

Good meat still goes for 10c/u tops on Shadowfire... 25c/u is crazy and at those rates, I wouldn't even bother. Collecting it myself would be much better.

i don't like the way doctors have to get recourses for their craftable iitems. i heard that avian meat was selling for 20cr/u on bria so i decided to go out and get some. the only thing i could find that droped good qual was kaadu so i started gt missions and after almost a full day i only had 5k units, and it most the most boring thing i have done to date in this game. they need to make it so you can harvest those recources like inorganic recources.

On bria, meat is the only problem. Any old meat sells for 10 cpu, with good stuff going up into the 30 cpu range. Other med resources are 3-5 cpu, with the good stuff in the 7-8 cpu range.

Not worth buying for mass production, imo. I buy nice avian meat when its available because I can make that money back doing buffs. I don't ever buy herb meat, as people don't want that extra 15k -25k per crate passed along to their cost.

Avian meat for buffs, just b/c it's a necessity... as it stands, buying the meat, you can make creds on the buffs if you are selling them, and if you need them for just yourself, it's worth the cost.

Herbi meat however, it is most definitly not worth it for mass production, but perhaps for special orders. When I was in production,I had a certain customer [a MCH] who would provide the herbi meat and I would make them Stim Ds with advanced chems and keep the left over meat for myself [on top of what he paid me for the service]. Was a good deal, and I can only see using ACRDMs for special orders, especially if the customer provides it.

Chilastra is in the toilet on this one.

25-30 is not uncommon for ANY meat... especially if it is in stacks over 100 (yes one hundered).

It is no longer worth buying.

I'm almost tempted to join a PA.

It isn't just the Doctors doing this. Check out the Bazaar sometime. I regularly see pure CRAP metals (all stats under 500) for 6-10 CPU. If a medic class doesn't harvest stuff themselves we've always been raped on having to buy advanced ingredients (6 CPU+ for crappy Dolovite Iron, etc).

But yes, on my Server (Radiant) I've seen 40-50 CPU for Avian/Herbivore in certain shifts by the same Docs/Resource Vendors over and over again.

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

I'm sorry to say, but the reality of the situation is avian meat is underpriced. I'm on Bloodfin and I regularly pay 80cpu or more the quality avian meat. It's not for myself or my friends, it's for public sale and for profit.

If you think about it, how much avian meat and herbivore meat do you use per buff? Less than1 unit avian and 1 unit herb? That costs youbetween 50cr and 100cr. And you sell that buff for 1k or more? Or in my case, I just sell the buff packs at 300cr per charge.

If you feel the price is too high, harvest it yourself. I feel the trend of prices on meat is only going to get higher for us Docs.

I'm on Ahazi. It's not uncommon for meat to go for 40cpu. but it has to be really good stuff. We have some really good avian meat on Lok now and I know someone offering 40cpu for it. Money talks I guess. I used to be a supplier and was getting 15-20cpu for the meat I harvested. Someone would ask me if I could go to this planet and kill these and get their avian meat and I'd do it if I didn't have other plans. Plus, I'd get free buffs before I went

Songe, you must have been refering to me about those meat.

Anyway, as it stands now, i do not have any combat skills (unlike your Master Pistoleer iirc) nor do i have a second account. I have no way of collecting my own meat at all, simplybecause i do not have the ability to kill anything.

The only way to have them is obviously to recruit scouts to do that for me. I was paying25 cpuor 30 cpu if you bring a 6k stack for avian meat last week. But take note, thats Correlian Avian Meat...what the heck drops them anyway? Carrion Spats and Gulginaws (less common)! and how much per harvest? 10? or 20 units?

I pay my meats by the ease in which scouts can gather them, ie: number of units harvested per kill. There is good Endorian Herbie Meat with similar stats in OQ/PE to the Avian available too; those i pay 10 cpu or 12.5 cpu for a 16k stack. Why? because a fat bordok stud drops over 80 units...

And for the record, i was master Ranger on another server, part of an all ranger guild and we mass-harvest for a living. That has, at the very least, allowed me to understand the pains of scrapping every bit of flesh of a dead Lokian Flit.

Cameara euro server its looking like 10-15 cpu but i actaully think the master docs on our server collect our own and any regular buff customers have no problem in giving us the stuff as well. Must say 2 of us went to darthmore last nite where the best avian is at the momment for us and harvested 2k in a couple of hours. Must admit i never realised how easy it is for to master docs to harvest what they like really . Both buffed both able to ress piece of cake.

I'm paying 65-80cpu for great avian meat on Eclipse and 15-30cpu for great Herb Meat...

If you dont want the best then dont bother paying so much for the meats. As simple as that.
