Ok I did the formula and it looks really funny to me...
=SUM((Q3+Q4)/2000*0.66)+((S3/1000)*0.33)*75
If i put in OQ/UT or PE all in 1000 result comes up max 25.
However;
If I leave PE/UT at 1000 and change ONLY the OQ, result still be 25.xxx.
If I leave OQ at 1000 and change ONLY the PE/UT, result will be different dramatically.
*bonk me in the head if i did something wrong with my calculation above (via excel spreadsheet)*

Looks to me like your formula is missing a paren
=sum(((q3+q4)/2000*.66)+((s3/1000)*.33))*75

Sorry, looks like you got it. Just downloaded and saved the new spreadsheet. Awesome. Moderators should post this up on top.

Great work Wizenobi!
Found this somewhat buried by doing a search, but the link still works and I was able to download it. I am getting ready to try my first batch of buffs and this looks like it will be a great tool! For my first attempt I am going to try and make a run of 60 sets. I chose this number based on sixty sets requiring 960 Advanced Biological Effect Controller and I’d like to make them all in one run, 1000 being the run being the limit.
The version of the calculator I have is Revision 2 (07/16/04) and I have a few questions regarding it.
Adv Biological Effect Controller – Changing the OQ of either ingredient does not affect the outcome. This was pointed out in Arauko’s post but does not seem to be fixed in the version I downloaded.
Assuming “ABEC = Charge 15/Power 25” I think:
V3 should be =ROUND((((((Q3+Q4)/2000*0.66))+((S3/1000)*0.33))*15),0)
V4 should be =ROUND((((((Q3+Q4)/2000*0.66))+((R4/1000)*0.33))*25),0)
Would someone confirm this pls?

Experimentation – What is the assumptions in this calculator in regards to experimentation? It appears the values given are the best values obtainable with infinite experimentation points.
Number of Charges – Where is the number of charges calculation?
Please accept my apology in advance for any ignorance demonstrated by my ramblings.

Wizenobi wrote:yeah i would agree too but you have to manually calculate this.. whereas mine is pretty much automatic by excel, just fill in blank and itll give ya an assumption of what your buff rating, buff stat, etc gonna be..I MIGHT even make this into a web type which it would be MUCH easier.. again thats to be seen... Will keep ya all posted...
I am a bit of a PHP diva, so I could write the page for you, just don't have anywhere to post it at the moment...
Anyone with access to a PHP enabled server willing to host a 1 page PHP file for me? *giggle*
I'd just need a bit of info. I could extract this from your formulas, but having the base data would work better. How, exactly, does each stat effect the final outcome? I assume that it's all % based, but % of what?
For example, an ABEC's power is affected by the OQ and PE of all the resources that go into it. FiberOQ*.66, WheatOQ*.66, FiberPE*.33 (always 0), WheatPE*.33. Are these figures then added together? Multiplied? Figure at 1000 across the board in the above example, what is the highest number I can reach?

Max power on an ABEC is higher than 25. I believe it's 30. I get 26 power using:
Ajeadren Lokian Wild WheatOQ982 / PE630
Smiwheu Tat Filerplast OQ923 / UT388
And also 26 power when using a different fiberplast that's OQ947/UT78. I read somewhere that PE on lok wild wheat is gated to a max of 750 which explains why people are not making 30 power abec's. 27 might be possible though.

Changed V4 to:
=ROUND((((((Q3+Q4)/2000*0.66))+((R4/1000)*0.33))*30),0)
wheat PE at 750 and all other stats at 1000 results in power 27.
Ajeadren Lokian Wild Wheat OQ982 / PE630
Smiwheu Tat Filerplast OQ923 / UT388
results in power of 25
Smiwheu Tat Filerplast OQ923 / UT388
results in power of 25
Increasing the Filerplast OQ to 970 results in power of 26, this might be a rounding error. Perhaps because rounding occures after every round of experimentation.

Couple things
- The ABEC calculations dont seem to take proper account of the OQ. I can change the OQ stats to any value, and it doesnt affect the output.
- The final power seems to come out low compared to what Im actually crafting.
Otherwise its an excellent Job.
